This wire is replacing some thin aluminum speaker wire for a small system comprising of a Yamaha receiver and several pair of Klipsch Reference bookshelf speakers. This is in my cottage in the woods where I travel occasionally. Now with work-at-home Im spending considerably more time at the cottage and thought a simple wire upgrade would make the sound experience more pleasant. All I can say is Wow, what a difference. The sound improvement was noticeable. The system did not seem to be straining. IT would be like pushing power through a fire hose instead of a straw. More importantly, the receiver ran considerably cooler. Heat is the enemy of electronics. The amp did not appear to be straining as it had with the old wire. This is thick wire so it took a bit more care to work with the connections. After stripping the casing from the ends I had to twist the strands tightly to fit them in the connectors for the speakers and receiver. Well worth the effort, and now my friends wonder why Im so fanatic about wire. Do yourself a favor and buy this very reasonably priced upgrade.
