> 3 dayThis product was perfect. I was installing recessed lighting in a rental house. It was between renters. I bought the Dust bowl to help contain the mess. It was easy to use and served its purpose. I will Conroe to use it in the future

> 3 dayIt’s ideal for not making a mess when putting in lights in an established home. You do need to clean it so you can see where to put the pilot bit.

> 3 dayI tried a few similar items. This one is durable because it has a steel washer inserted into the bowl hole. the one i got with my bit at lowes was completely horrible, it did not really work at all. One tore apart at the hole. This one fits flush against the ceiling making a nice seal. I think people still need to be careful if they want to mitigate the dust. For example, you have to be prepared to do something with the drywall/dust/insulation particles that fills the bowl. I drilled the hole, carefully came down the ladder, unplugged the drill, and brought it outside! Then I dumped out the bowl, and drilled the next hole... :)

> 3 dayYou will have white dust everywhere if you do not use one of these! I made that mistake by using unsuccessful homemade methods.

> 3 dayPretty good product. It is worth it to have this when installing ceiling lights. The plastic is flexible. It did me a while to figure it out how to use it with a bigger hole drill.

> 3 dayAs a DIY guy, but not a gadget guy I questioned myself when buying this. This is a gadget well worth the few dollars spent. I installed 10 puck lights in my drywall ceiling and saved TONS of clean up and no mad wife. Buy with confidence!

> 3 dayItem worked great to install my recessed lights, no more drywall dust flying everywhere. Used it to install 8 recessed lights but by the 4th or 5th one it started buckling with very little pressure. Would recommend for quick project not for prolonged use on big projects.

> 3 dayI bought two of these - the second thinking I must of used the first one incorrectly. But they both ended up the same. When drilling, the grommet (both plastic and metal - depending on the particular size product) transfers too much heat to the rubberized bowl most proximal to your drill bit - overheats and essentially melts. I tried you-tube to see if I was doing something wrong, no real informative information there. The product itself comes with no instruction whatsoever. Unless Im missing something obvious - I wouldnt buy the product again. Twice is enough.

Greater than one weekI needed one of these for a job I was doing. I researched and chose this one because it had a metal washer as opposed to the plastic one that many others had and the cone was clear so you could see your bit placement . While reading the reviews I had seen several which stated they had received a used product, I ordered anyway and after a few days received a used product? What the heck? The plastic is cloudy, with scratches and smudges on it making it hard to see through and precisely place the bit in the correct location. Buyer beware the reviews claiming they received a used product are true, as can be seen in my photos.
