> 3 dayIts a very fast monitor. No ghosting. The problem is that I guess I got unlucky and got a panel with a depressing amount of glow. 80 percent of the screen constantly glows. Pretty bad. Its not a deal breaker for me though, and everything else is solid.

Greater than one weekThis is a good monitor and especially at the current price point and will definitely work for some but I received the BOE panel twice in a row and even after being reassured by Amazon customer service that I will get the LG one after the initial return, my second monitor was also the BOE variation of the panel. It really sucks that they would put out a product that is basically a gamble and a ton of wasted time and money (in my case at least). I tested it and the colors on it look horrendous. I installed a ICC profile that shouldve fixed the color issue and played around with OSD settings a lot as well as followed instructions by youtubers and others on the internet but could not make the screen look any better. I have to say thou, if you are going to exclusively use this for gaming, it might be worth the shot because I played a few matches of PUBG on it and it looked quite good with the 1444p resolution and high refresh rate. Its hard to say no for this price but I am returning it for the second time and will be getting a mid-range priced monitor to avoid any more headaches. This probably used to be a great monitor back in the day when more LG panels were available but HP decide to cut corners and started making a lot more with the BOE panel apparently, its hard to get the LG panel nowadays it seems.

> 3 dayI bought this monitor for a gaming set up I recently built. I was a bit worried since I got it under 200 dollars but I couldn’t be happier. Came in with zero issues and after month of use I’m happy. Video quality is great, and the monitor is responsive. Size was perfect for me even though I was worried it might be a bit big. For reference I’m coming from a 4K 16 in laptop that had an i-9 and some built in graphics. Design is simple and appealing to me, and the bezels are almost nonexistent. The one thing I could nitpick about would be daytime brightness. I have a huge window and get lots of sunlight bleeding in during the day. This would be the only time the brightness doesn’t seem to be enough. The fact it’s highly adjustable helps too! It’s still manageable for sure but something to keep in mind.

> 3 dayUsed for gaming, photo editing, general computer-ing. HP pulled a bait-and-switch with this monitor, and you may get a superior LG panel or a subpar BOE panel. If you can get it for less than $200 its a steal either way, and a HUGE improvement from 1080p 60hz. IPS glow is kind of bad. My lower left corner has bad IPS glow, lower right is noticeable, top corners are fine.

22-11-2024I am not particularly impressed by the colors and it is not a very bright monitor. The picture does look good (I am used to just a 1080p monitor and the difference is noticeable) but with monitors you get what you pay for. Overall it is a nice size and clear image but if you are looking for something “vibrant” and “bright” you may need to look at monitors at least in the $300+ range.

> 3 dayI recently ordered January 21, received January 24. I got an LG panel, very happy with that over the BOE panel! The picture quality is miles better than 1080p, and the refresh rate is top notch. Cant compare this to other 1440p monitors, but I am highly satisfied. With some calibration, 10/10

> 3 dayive had the same 60hz asus ips since 2013, its been my main monitor for ever. it was such a good monitor and non i ever seen in person seemed better. BUT this hp monitor BLOWS this thing out of the water. the white are truly white, the blacks are truly black, the greys look grey. the colors are popping! i got this monitor for 150 on sale and my god i wish i bought 2 now. the base mount is really good and slides up and down smooth as butter. i did notice that with my 1660 ti having it at 165hz uses my gpu and makes the heat rise. but if i have it set to 144hz which is more around the gpu can handle then it works fine. so if you dont have a good mid range or high end card it will still do you justice just lower the refresh rate like i did. this and nvidias digital vibrance is freaking insane. im so happy with this monitor

> 3 dayAs several reviews mention, at some HP decided to replace the highly lauded LG panel in this monitor with a cheaper BOE (a Chinese manufacturer) panel. Its hard to say exactly how much this degrades the quality of the panel but keep in mind that the initial wave of very positive reviews for this may not be as accurate as they were. So far it seems good enough considering I got it on sale. I had a dead pixel scare exactly on day after the 30 day return period ended but I think it was a false alarm. I also think I may have received a returned monitor though as it has some scuffs on it and the warranty was already activated 2 months before I even received it. Might have to look into what thats about. Just do your due diligence and if you can grab it on sale, it should hopefully serve well as a decent monitor considering its size, resolution, and refresh rate. Will update as time goes on if any issues pop up.

> 3 dayTheyve made a silent downgrade for this monitor: its no longer using LG panels. They now use BOE, which is a cut-rate panel with much worse quality control. Ive got it for a song, but Im starting to think that Im getting what Ive paid for.
