I bought this on sale with pretty high hopes, due to the largely very positive reviews. Im mostly satisfied with it for the price I paid. -Colors are vibrant and overall pretty good, despite not using the nano-ips backlight like some other monitors that contain the same LG panel within. -I like the looks of it; simple, somewhat classy/elegant and understated (not a flamboyant gaming monitor look. -No dead pixels -Performs well when playing games Two things preventing me from giving it 5 stars: -Some bothersome IPS glow, much more prominent on one side than the other. Backlight bleed from edges was quite minimal and perfectly acceptable, but the glow on black screens is very bothersome during loading screens or very dark scenes. I dont game on PC much and never watch movies on the computer, so I decided not to return. -The blue light reduction coating is something I dont like. Yes, you can apply ICC profiles (which I did) and tune the color a bit from there, but I felt like I could only get it a tad too warm, and a tad too cool, and couldnt achieve truly neutral whites I wanted. Its close enough for me I guess, so again, I didnt return. It sounds like I just got a less than stellar draw in the panel lottery, so I wouldnt let that dissuade you. Its an okay monitor for the price, but I think Ill definitely try something else when Im ready for a second 27 to replace my ancient 22 for a dual setup.

Its a very fast monitor. No ghosting. The problem is that I guess I got unlucky and got a panel with a depressing amount of glow. 80 percent of the screen constantly glows. Pretty bad. Its not a deal breaker for me though, and everything else is solid.

Purchased as an Amazon Truck deal and what a great deal. I was coming from a 34” ultrawide monitor with 75hz refresh rate and what a difference. The monitor gets really bright if that’s what you prefer. I like the simple design and low profile look. Anti-glare coating works ok. You will have to tweak some settings to get the monitor to perform ideally. Another negative is the limited adjustments with the stand. Only option is telescoping up or down. No tilting or rotating. But I plan on using an monitor arm anyway so not a big deal for me. It does come with a 6ft DP cable, which you’ll need to get the full 165hz refresh rate. Is it worth full price? Hard to say without another monitor to compare it to. But not sure you’ll find many other 27” 4K 1440p QHD 165hz monitors at this price point. But I think it’s definitely worth the $180 (before taxes) I got it for.

It looks worse on camera but this monitor has some pretty bad glow when the monitor is dark. This can be mitigated by turning down the brightness but doesnt solve the issue. All IPS glow so i might go back to a TN monitor.

Bought this monitor for my daughter for casual 1440p gaming on Black Friday for $170. It’s a great deal! Overall I’d say it’s on par with my 27” Dell 2721DGF 165hz. Good: 1. HP’s color is vivid and rich. Image quality is better than Dell. 2. So far no IPS glow or corner bleeding. And no bad pixel. 3. Low latency and actual gaming response time seems good. Not feeling any slower than Dell. However, fast moving object (fps game) is not as clear as Dell. 4. Thin bezel - excellent for dual monitor setup. 5. Incredible value for an IPS panel at this price. Bad: 1. Build quality is average. The plastic bezel is not really straight if you look closely. The back panel is also cheap and flimsy. 2. Only one HDMI and one display port. No usb or usbc port And the display port comes with the monitor is short. 3. Power socket is slightly loose. I need to really push the cable connector all the way in to get power. 4. Does not work well with AMD image sharpening. Looks really bad even with 10% sharpening setting. 5. Free sync is not consistent. Experienced some stuttering from time to time. Never has this issue with Dell. I don’t use free sync often so not a big deal to me.

I love this monitor! It works so well and is the perfect size (it almost is even a little large for me). I have no complaints and I have had no issues with how it performs. My only complaint is that it only has 1 hdmi connection and 1 displayport connection. I have 2 devices that use hdmi and no devices that use displayport so my temporary solution is that I have to switch the hdmi cord back and forth between devices as I want to use them haha. I knew that when I bought the monitor though, so I didn’t take off any stars for it. No other complaints on this monitor!

I got a Dell 24” curved gaming monitor prior to this one and honestly I regret it. This HP monitor is sooo much better!! The quality is better and brighter. The only thing I wish it had was more ports.

I personally love this monitor. I dont really have much to say. Pros: - Affordable. Can get it on sale for a steal. - Decent color accuracy out of box. - Brightness is pretty decent. - Comes with both HDMI and DisplayPort cables out of the box. Which is uncommon in my experience. Cons: - No USB hub. - This monitor has a display lottery. You may get one of two types of panels. People online argue a lot about which one is better, but realistically both will suit the needs of most buyers. However, if youre very picky (or rely a lot on reviews) its iffy on whether or not itll apply to your purchase, since most reviews are only based on one panel type or the other. All panels are still IPS, still 1440p, still 165hz. the difference is mostly color accuracy and color grading. Look into it if that concerns you, otherwise I can pretty much assure you that the experience will be solid.

Amazon gave me a huge hassle not letting me replace the broken monitor they sent. BOE Panel. Theyd only allow a return. Finally able to order a replacement after my account suddenly changed the return options. This one is a working LG panel. So far a massive improvement and working well. If you want to take the gamble, it may be worth it, but it was over 2 weeks of headache.

All play, every day. We"ve redefined high definition gaming with IPS technology, 165Hz, 1ms response, AMD FreeSync™ Premium, and more colors than ever before.
