Purchased the monitor at a great discount due to being a 2021 model. Very happy with purchase. Now the true test is beginning ... how long will it function like new?

I got a Dell 24” curved gaming monitor prior to this one and honestly I regret it. This HP monitor is sooo much better!! The quality is better and brighter. The only thing I wish it had was more ports.

I read all the reviews and became scared of the panel lottery, but the price was just too tempting. And all this BOE fearmongering turned out to be nonsense. I think youre going to be subjected to panel lottery in general (not just BOE vs LG) and this will be your primary concern. For me, I got an absolutely immaculate BOE. Zero light bleed. Colors look great, a feast for my eyes. Very happy with my supposedly inferior panel. The only scenario where I could see this even being a small problem is if you plan to buy multiple X27qs. In that setup, ideally all your panels would be identical... but even then, these specs at this price point? Still compelling even with that caveat. Another huge bonus for me personally is the stand. It has a small footprint yet is very sturdy and has TONS of adjustment. Most cheaper monitors will cut corners on the stands, and I cannot understate how awesome it is to have the option for portrait mode and height/tilt adjustment out-of-the-box. Again, mind blowing at this price point. I primarily play a lot of fast-paced, flick-shot arena FPS on mouse and would notice any sort of delay or ghosting instantly - there isnt any. I dont own testing equipment to measure exact color accuracy and response time, but I am particular about image quality/delay and have daily-driven more displays than I can count, including 4k and 300hz displays. After 2 months of daily use, I can assure you that this thing punches WAY above its price range - assuming you dont get a dud. But that applies to pretty much any display you may be considering buying.

I did a lot of research before I came to the conclusion of buying this monitor. This monitor has Minimal ghosting Good colors HDR (not great) Adjustable stand, vesa mount Sleek non gamer design So yeah I have no complaints about this thing, super good value, most comparable monitors will be a bit more expensive and may have compromises For anyone that’s going to use this monitor, I recommend setting MPRT to 1 and response time to 2 for the best brightness and latency

You arent going to get a better monitor without spending double. There are cheaper monitors on the market, but they tend to have really dim light and poor color quality. This monitor is very bright, smooth, and has amazing color quality. It has some small backlight bleed, but it isnt much and of course you arent going to get rid of it with out spending at least double. Dont buy something cheaper, wait a while and get this one!

Probably the best 1440p monitor you can get for the price. Comes with DP cable (No HDMI). Colors look great and I haven’t had any issues with dead pixels or backlight bleeding. Definitely should go with this if you’re balling on a budget.

This is a good monitor and especially at the current price point and will definitely work for some but I received the BOE panel twice in a row and even after being reassured by Amazon customer service that I will get the LG one after the initial return, my second monitor was also the BOE variation of the panel. It really sucks that they would put out a product that is basically a gamble and a ton of wasted time and money (in my case at least). I tested it and the colors on it look horrendous. I installed a ICC profile that shouldve fixed the color issue and played around with OSD settings a lot as well as followed instructions by youtubers and others on the internet but could not make the screen look any better. I have to say thou, if you are going to exclusively use this for gaming, it might be worth the shot because I played a few matches of PUBG on it and it looked quite good with the 1444p resolution and high refresh rate. Its hard to say no for this price but I am returning it for the second time and will be getting a mid-range priced monitor to avoid any more headaches. This probably used to be a great monitor back in the day when more LG panels were available but HP decide to cut corners and started making a lot more with the BOE panel apparently, its hard to get the LG panel nowadays it seems.

I personally love this monitor. I dont really have much to say. Pros: - Affordable. Can get it on sale for a steal. - Decent color accuracy out of box. - Brightness is pretty decent. - Comes with both HDMI and DisplayPort cables out of the box. Which is uncommon in my experience. Cons: - No USB hub. - This monitor has a display lottery. You may get one of two types of panels. People online argue a lot about which one is better, but realistically both will suit the needs of most buyers. However, if youre very picky (or rely a lot on reviews) its iffy on whether or not itll apply to your purchase, since most reviews are only based on one panel type or the other. All panels are still IPS, still 1440p, still 165hz. the difference is mostly color accuracy and color grading. Look into it if that concerns you, otherwise I can pretty much assure you that the experience will be solid.

All play, every day. We"ve redefined high definition gaming with IPS technology, 165Hz, 1ms response, AMD FreeSync™ Premium, and more colors than ever before.
