HTC SteamVR Base Station 2.0

> 3 dayIt was easy to set up and install. Once you plug it in and turn on SteamVR it takes care of the setup on its own with only a single button press. You dont even need to reconfigure your playspace, it just integrates itself right in. It does not come with a mounting bracket, so make sure you pick one up when you buy this.

> 3 dayI have never in my whole life ever written a review on any product because I didn’t wanna become a Karen…but I think In this case I’d be saving people money, DO NOT buy these base stations I’ve bought two from this and BOTH have come in faulty straight out the box, out of the box I get them set up, mounted, and I plug them in, to my delight it goes from blue…to green…. But then to a slow blinking red, upon doing research I found that it’s an internal error and I gotta contact the company, so I do…but was given an issue and was never given a replacement (which from my understanding they’re suppose to do) , I would heavily consider where you spend your money because in my opinion this isn’t it

> 3 dayBut the issue is that they do not last long. This is the second one Ive had to buy within a years time (replacing the first one I bought). Pretty expensive for something you have to keep replacing.

Greater than one weekWell, you get a tracker... Thats it, no base stand nor the original charge cable. Just a short charge cable. Feeling kind of ripped off with the base stand not being included.

> 3 dayWas a great upgrade from the 1.0 stations! Has helped tremendously with fully body 360 tracking.

> 3 dayWorks perfectly. Price is just steeper than on Steam, but they have been out of stock on steam so I went with this.

> 3 dayI have a valve index with four 2.0 base stations. The tracking is impeccable. I have had one base station go bad and it was replaced no questions asked. Great product great service.

> 3 dayImproves tracking in large playspaces and reduces the chance of losing tracking from occlusion.

Greater than one weekThese things are overpriced, anyway - they charge what they can get away with. If you can get them from Valve, do so - youll save fifty bucks, which is still a rip off, but less so. And while these are functionally the same as Valves, they dont come with mounting gear, and the power cord is insultingly short. But if youre desperate for some base stations, these are better than nothing. The problem is HTC seems to be counting on that.

Greater than one weekAfter 5 days of using this one base station for VRChat because full-body tracking is the best, the base station started flashing red which indicated hardware failure. It was essentially bricked for those who dont know about the possibility of the rotor just straight up failing. Granted, it did work but not for long. If you want the same base station at a lower cost, just get it off Steam when they restock. They are good at replacing broken base stations unlike HTC with their nightmarish customer support and it comes with mounts and a better power brick. If theyre out of stock, just order a 1.0 since the only difference is a wider area coverage for bigger rooms when it comes to the 2.0.
