I had a mate SE, which I dropped and crack the screen, so this is a better yet cheaper replacement. Huawei products are so nice and affordable in general. As of Aug 19, all the Google functionality are working fine and I connected to ATT with no problem. For everyday normal use, this is one of the best all around phone that you can stay with for a long time.

Fast access to internet, internal memory is plenty and you can add more, I have an SD 64GB for a total of 128GB. Easy to read emails, news and answer my coworkers with big screen, very light weight,

Honestly... I’m pleasantly surprised/shocked. I recieved this phone a few days ago but so far everything seems to work fine. For the price, it’s great! The design is slim and reminds me of an IPhone X. It has a fingerprint reader at the back that unlocks the phone so fast. The camera is not bad either, but not the best. As for the battery life, I can’t say much since I haven’t used it on a daily basis, but I will update this review with that. Typing on it is very easy as well, it feels comfortable. I don’t notice any lagging for now. It comes with some apps that you can’t delete, but I don’t mind as much because i use most of them, and as for the space, I still have enough.

This phone is awesome. The battery life is excellent and the camera takes great pictures. I love that you can take a pic of an item and when you tap and hold with two fingers for a few seconds, itll find and show you more items like it on sale. The only con I have about this phone is that the speakers are not as loud as Id want them to be, but even with that con, I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone for such a low price.

Theres nothing that I dont like about an honor phone. It was time to upgrade and I chose the Moto 6. I sent it back after 3 days. Almost ordered the honor but decided to go with the reviews and ordered a redmi. I ended up returning that one as well. Should have stuck with my original pick. Once I got this it was smooth sailing. Beautiful screen, picture taking is easy, quick, no lagging and super sharp. Battery life is pretty good, not as good as if this had a C charging port, but it will last me all day.

Just switched from a Motorola G6 Forge (and before that an iPhone 6s), and Im thrilled to have found the Honor 8x. I did receive the JSN-L23 as advertised... And as soon as I popped the sim in, it worked. I get 4g with Cricket in Nebraska. Cant speak for any other networks or areas, but it works here. Data speed is roughly the same as it was on my Motorola G6 on the same network. The thing that sold me on this phone was watching YouTube reviews where they compared it to the new iPhone XR/S. Basically, its NEARLY as good. Depressingly close. It doesnt have waterproofing (but you could buy nearly 4 of them for the same price as an iPhone, so yeah), and the speaker does leave a little bit to be desired, but the camera is great, response time is incredibly fast, the battery charges slowly but it lasts 1.5 days, the screen is straight up beautiful, pics honestly dont do it justice... And whatever version of Android it came with isnt half bad. (Which is saying something coming from me because I had 3 different android phones beforplutely despised the OS on all 3.) If there were an $899 Huawei phone, the thing would probably consist of alien technology. They basically just made a $214 iPhone XR. Would highly recommend. Will update the review if it goes downhill, but this thing feels like its built to last. So far, Ill definitely be buying another Huawei to replace this one when I need it.

Update - Dug a little deeper and realized it had to do with the frequency bands that T-Mobile uses here in Texas. This phone only supports a small handful of bands and theyre not the main ones used by major carriers. Beautiful phone that moves fast. Its so unfortunate that its NOT COMPATIBLE WITH TMOBILEs 4G network. I was receiving complaints of my phone going straight to voicemail and after doing some searching I started just restarting my phone daily. That only provided a temporary fix since I would start getting calls. But I wouldnt know that I was missing calls until someone text me to complain that it wasnt going through. When that didnt seem to help, I started resetting my network settings. Same issue, it worked, until it didnt. Eventually called Huawei customer support this morning and they had me factory reset the whole phone and start all over. Again, it worked until it didnt (first complaint at 5pm same day). They didnt really have any other solutions for me besides telling me to switch carriers. What?! Im not changing my carrier to get a phone to work. Thats ridiculous. Called t-mobile to make sure nothing was wrong with my line and they told me this phone is only compatible with the 2G network. -_- What. The. Fudge.

Ive had this phone for 2 days now. Its a great phone. A little taller than most phones but it takes getting used to. Very fast great screen quality. Pictures are really good. Speaker isnt the best but it gets the job done. I activated it with straight talk and you do only get 4g but speed test in my area it runs faster than 4glte. If you are activating with straight talk you have to buy a new Sim card. It is compatible with AT&T. The battery life is great too. I get about an hour for 10 percent of constant use. The notifications are all the same sound. Not sure how to change it. I switched from the Samsung galaxy s8 and this phone runs much smoother and faster than a galaxy s8!
