To be fair I will start by saying I have all heavily shaded black and grey tattoos, but the cream was not too bad. It definitely hydrates the tattoos but other than the first hour or 2 it doesn’t hold that fresh tattoo shine. But it is a good choice for tattoo hydration and has a really nice scent. I’m sure color tattoos would have a different outcome.

I like this product and use it a lot on new tattoos, it lasts a long time and seems to do a great job at moisturizing and protecting. I usually buy locally but for convenience I purchased online. This order appears to have maybe been melted either in shipping or in storage. I wouldnt expect this to be an issue however it seems to have crystalized it, which makes it frustrating to work with, take a long time to soften up all the chunks. And it just doesnt feel as nice due to a somewhat rough texture. Noting this is typically a thick product but not crystalized. It is still usable, but I might suggest sticking with a local provider.

This balm moisturized the HELL out of my tattoo! This was my very first time getting one. I normally don’t ever leave reviews but this product blew me out of the water. It made the day after so much more bearable, and made sure the tattoo and surrounding skin wasn’t dry. If you find the product to be thick, a method I found is pressing your finger into the balm to create a bit of product that rises on the sides of your finger, sweeping up a little bit of time and massaging it into small bits of the tattoo, rather than taking a chunk and doing the whole thing at once. While my arm is sore, this makes my physical skin feel wonderful. Not to mention that the scent of this is so good???? It’s a bit strong, but I enjoy it so much. I’d describe it as a mango + coconut scent. Thank you for creating this!! It’s a godsend (: P.S. the image of me was directly after the tattoo, and the image solely of the art was with the balm. Brighter and vivid black!! No inflammation either (:

For my tattoo after care I have used tattoo goo, regular lotion and most the the time Aquaphor. I liked tattoo goo but it is not ideal for larger tattoos because it is hard to spread around, constantly having to apply regular lotion isn’t fun either. Aquaphor is great in that it lease the tattoo feeling hydrated for the longest time, on the flip side I hate how it lease you a sticky oily mess and I hate how heavy it feels. And Aquaphor just kind of sits on your skin once it get wiped off it’s gone. This butter is somewhere between tattoo goo and the Aquaphor. It had a seems really thick at first but melts really nicely with your body heat. It applies really evenly and smoothly and leave my tattoo feeling hydrated without feeling heavy and greasy. I just woke up after applying it last night for bed and my tattoo was still hydrated it didn’t dry out. I will be using this for my tattoo after care from now on.

Some of the credit goes to the tattoo artist as they weren’t heavy handed but wow this cream! It smells great and our tattoos healed wonderfully. A little goes a long way. I really love this stuff. The first picture is right after the tattoo was done and the second picture (the best one I have) is after the tattoo healed. I have many tattoos and have used many different things and this cream/lotion is by FAR the best! I recommend this to anyone and everyone! I will continue to use this to get my tattoos a fresh up!

Since aquaphor changed their ingredients this is the best stuff Ive found for my tattoos. It has a really good smell also. It doesnt rub off or stain your clothes which is a definite plus.

This stuff is amazing! Started out using this on my recent tattoo then started using it on my entire body as my daily moisturizer. This is now my go to for all my fresh and old ink.

Im in the process of tattoo removal. Im using product to keep the tattoo from itching during healing process. It works amazingly! Highly recommend.
