> 3 dayI needed these for my lever doors and the levers on the bathtub to toddler proof. Unfortunately you have to really line these up at a specific angle for the levers in my home or my toddler can just yank the handle a little bit and bump it over the lever. There is a slight curve/contour in the lever and if not lined up exactly that that point the lever will not catch fully. On the tub as soon as the lock was lightly placed, it stuck and was not able to be removed. I havent tried to fully remove it as I had no extra adhesive. So it helps a good deal but she can still get a trickle of the hot water and if she pulls hard can get the cold water lever to move fully. The door levers she hangs on and can get past the lock. Still the best option I found for the bathtub.

> 3 dayMy husband has dementia. I use this to keep him from getting in his closet because he forgets to go to the bathroom and sometimes pees in his closet.

Greater than one weekThis works well and installs easily, but be careful when using on interior doors. Exterior doors, the inside and outside handle generally operate independently, but on interior doors the inside handle and outside handles move in tandem. I installed this and set it in the locked position with the door open. My little one wasnt home so I didnt close the door. Later, I went to use the restroom that this lock was protecting, and even though no one was home I closed the door behind me out of habit. When I went to exit, I couldnt, and the outside handle was blocked by this device and the inside handle cant turn if the outside handle cant turn. After mulling over my options and deciding to go hulk mode on the handle, it dawned on me that my bathroom has french doors. :) So luckily in my case I just released the lock on the second floor and pulled the doors open. But if it were a single door, hulk smash indeed. My only wish for this item were if there were a second model for exterior doors that had a spring loaded auto lock option, in which the device would always return to the locked position. Reason being, we have a heavy traffic home, and people are constantly coming and going. When people leave, its easy to forget to open the door, set the lock, then exit, so the child lock stays engaged after you leave, meaning the door is often times left unlocked when people exiting forget to do this. So we have gotten into the habit of checking it throughout the day. If it had some sort of spring loaded with soft auto lock, people could exit and it could return to a locked position automatically. Obviously this would only work for exterior doors or doors in which the inside and outside handles can be operated independently and dont move in tandem.

> 3 dayWe have Ragdoll cats and theyve discovered how to open any door with the flappy kind of handles. This is so perfect! Holds up to them jumping up and hanging off the handles. Finally, I feel smarter than my cat lol.

> 3 dayMy suggestion, as others have mentioned, is to put these bad boys on upside-down so that the part that does not move is below the handle. Our little one is juuuust tall enough to pull down on the handles. This stops him without us having to fully lock the handle in place. We just turn the handle up. Only sort of bad thing is the handle just barely fits past the lock mechanism when it is unlocked. So if you have fancy door handles, measure those bad boys for clearance. Very happy with them and will be ordering more. They do what they say they do.

08-06-2025I have kids ages 16 down to 3 and theyve all been escape artists who could figure out any kind of lock. If Indiana Jones and a ninja produced a tiara-wearing offspring, thatd be my kids. Like the baby on Raya and the Last Dragon, but with big, misleading blue eyes. Anyway, this three year old - hes the most challenging. This lock? It keeps him in place. I actually use it on the inside of our bedroom door (he sleeps in my room) at night so he doesnt get up and try to build a catapult in the living room, or catch a train, or bake a batch of cupcakes at 3am. Hes been trying to get it off/open/break it for 7 months and, so far, no luck! Instead, his frustration wakes me up and Im able to mostly wrestle him back into bed for a few more hours of sleep. Sometimes.

> 3 dayWith level door handles on all the doors in our apartment my son was getting into closets and our room very quickly. At first we put them on upside down so that wed still be able to get in and out but he couldnt pull down. As he got older and taller he did figure it out but since it still folds down hes still locked out! Hes 2 now and still hasnt figured out the buttons. Its tuff even for our friends lol. I havent had to remove them yet but my husband said theres a wire tool that you slide in between the adhesive and the wall. Theyre on there. Definitely not coming off with use.

> 3 daySo we actually put the opening and closing part on the top that way it’s always flipped open so adults can just lift the handle up and the kids can pull the handle down. We barely ever have to close the lock because the kids haven’t figured out lifting the door handle up yet.

> 3 dayI needed something to prevent my 2 year old from opening doors in the house. These were perfect. Easy to put on and easy to get in and out. The only flaw is that if Im in my bedroom or bathroom, I can get locked in there if someone put the baby lock up. My 4 and 6 year old know how to use it so they like to be silly and lock whoever in a room.
