Greater than one weekThe Mavericks are favourites of mine, so I bought this out of curiousity. I havent been able to get into as much, maybe the older songs are still lingering in my head. However the band is always great.

> 3 daySaw these guys in concert where many of these songs were played. Great effort in the Tex-Mex vein. A nice mix of some feel good rockers and some slow ballad-type songs.

> 3 dayFabulous songs from a sensational band. Cannot get enough of their music. The beats and lyrics of this cd are fabulous. These guys are amazing! The more I listen to this album, the more I want to and the more I love it. It is addictive, and Im hooked! The power and passion that Raul Malo sings these songs is phenomenal! It really does sound like hes singing to only you. The fact that Raul did write or had a hand in writing these songs only cements his God-like status for me. He is extremely talented and its infuriating because it reminds me of how much Im not! Ha ha! I saw in an interview that the band said it was their best music and best sound, in their 22yrs together. Im not 100% sure Id agree with that, but it is fabulous. They certainly appear to be enjoying themselves with this CD and from what Ive seen of their concerts theyre enjoying the music as much as the fans are. I cant wait for the next album!

Greater than one weekI know that I have become a raving maniac over these guys. I love all kinds of music, BUT I have not been so excited since I saw and danced to Johnny Cash with the Tennessee Two, in person, when I was only 16. Roy Orbison came in as a close second and THEN Elvis, but I never caught the latter two in person. Elvis Presley called Orbison the greatest singer in the world. In January 1989, Orbison became the first musician since Elvis Presley to have two albums in the Top Five at the same time. We all know how high Cash is regarded today. IN MY OPINION, I think Malo is even BETTER than Orbison and that is NOT an easy thing to say. I know that the maturity that they have all gained along with the confidence they have built over the years should deliver to music lovers an even better Mavericks than we have heard before. Even though it is tough to outdo Dance the night away and All you ever do it bring me down, I believe that Back in your arms again GETS there! Call me when you get to heaven as a song, itself, doesnt do too much for me, BUT its challenge to Malos voice and his knocking it out of the park, makes it special! I have to stop writing ... Im out of breath. This is one of the great musical treats for an old 73 yr old dog. Cudos! 10 stars!

> 3 dayStellar output from these guys. Sad that it took 10 years to re-appear, but Im glad theyre back. Raul Malo is one of the finest voices in contemporary music and not a bad songwriter either!! This has been in constant rotation around our house since I bought it. Seeing them live in April and I think it will be the concert of the year for me and my husband. There is a maturity to the music now that only adds to the pleasure of listening. Mavs fans will understand what I mean. Bravo, guys. Lookig forward to dancing in the aisles soon!!!
