> 24 hourEasy fit onto the mobo. While heat sink is not your jazzy LED lit one, it is sufficient and fits like a charm.

> 24 hourIt is what it is. I’ve never received a flawed intel cpu and I’ve built PCs with them since the 8088. They seem to get easier to install all the time. The notches make it nearly fool proof. I’m not a gamer, I have no need to push the limits. I boot up the new build and it’s been running constantly for 2 wks now without any hiccups. My gen 2 i5 was showing its age, but still runs ok. Just going into retirement I figured I’d build a new desktop while I can afford it. I expect it may be the last pc I’ll need to build since my needs are pretty basic. I probably could have gone with a lower level cpu but I expect this will carry me forward a bit further.

> 24 hourI bought two of these, one for a budget office build for myself and a gaming build for my son. I paired his with a GTX 1660 super and it performs pretty well, not as good as a 12400 or Ryzen 5 3600 or 5600x, but very close. Only downside going with a 10th gen instead of 11 or newer is the lack of PCIe and m.2 gen 4 support, although neither PC needs those features as neither will saturate the bandwidth of gen 3 fully. The integrated graphics will run some light games (among us, CSGO, etc. ) At lowered settings. The included cooler is as bad as its always been, it works, loud and temps arent great, but it works. I would Suggest finding a better solution (I went vetroo V5). Buy this CPU if its on sale for $140 or less, otherwise go 11th gen or Ryzen.

> 24 hourThis is the somewhat less desirable, earlier, non-thermally-enhanced G1 stepping version of the i5-10400 as revealed by its S-Spec code of SRH3C. The later, more sought after Q0 versions would be labeled SRH78. While the physical appearance on the bottom of the chips would easily reveal the distinctions, that isnt visible through the standard boxing window. And, to make matters more confusing, while the OEM parts have different numbers for the different S-Specs, the retail part numbers appear to be the same for either version.
