In terms of gaming performance, the 10400 is basically the best price to performance part available. The 10400F is slightly better value if you dont have any use for the igpu, but not by a huge margin.

Average processor, there werent many improvements over the 8th gen, the 9th gen is a scam. If the Ryzen 5 didnt have that price increase, Id have another Ryzen5 3600

The boost is just off of the 10600k for a lot less money. With all the same specs as a 10600k with a slightly lower boost clock if your not going to overclock the 10600k which is most people go with this and save the money.
