> 24 hourThis Hole punch device works great for putting holes into most anything that needs a hole. Use on Belts, watch bands, cardboard. No instructions with the device on how to use or adjust, took a few minutes to figure it out. it comes with a Allen Wrench to change the hole size plate. very simple to use once you figure out how to operate it.

> 24 hourGood leather punch! The hole puncher cuts cleaner than most other tools! The cutter is on the flat end and not the actual puncher tube, so the bits if leather don’t get stuck, and the hole cuts much cleaner! Easy to align to the material to have precise holes. The pliers have good leverage to punch through tough leather, and I have also used it on canvas. Great tool to have in the toolbox! Looks very well made, and easy to use. Great price!

> 24 hourIts not like I was looking for a leather punching tool. I already my fathers vintage leather punching tool like was sold in leather craft magazines and hadnt thought about upgrading until I saw this tool. First, I notice the angled cutters on each of the punches. Then I notice the ram effect for compound leverage. There is a throat depth adjustment of up to 20mm and a spring-loaded return-to-open handle. The largest hole size it will punch is 4.5mm. I dug out my old leather belt that is 3-4mm thick and punched a few holes. The prong of the buckle is too large to fit in that 4.5mm hole, so I punched another hole next to it to elongate the size of the hole and those 2 holes together allowed the prong to slide through the belt strap. Other belts had prongs small enough to easily fit a 4.5mm hole. The smallest hole size is 2.0mm, which I would explore for stitching holes. An adjustable anvil at the bottom of the stroke is rotated to accommodate each hole / punch size. It is adjusted with the hex key which is stored in the handle.

> 24 hourI am very pleased with all of the quality features of this hand operated hole punch. Many of the hole punches I have used in the past have been sharpened hollow tubes that cut through the material forcing the “hole” up through the tube while pressing the sharpened edge against a flat surface (usually of solid metal). This often results in a slightly frayed edge on the hole where part of the sharpened edge didn’t quite touch the surface. And this only gets worse with more use because the blade gets dulled by being pressed against the supporting surface. This hole punch operates differently: the beveled punch head cuts through the material at a dual angle (which helps maintain a straight edged cut) and then pushes the “hole” down through a matching hole in the supporting surface in a scissoring action and forcing the waste “hole” freely out of the tool. Each of the “punch” sizes has a matching “hole” that avoids any metal to metal contact - the punch slides freely through the matching hole - thus preventing any dulling of the punch caused by the working of the tool itself. There is, also, an adjustable throat depth guide to keep a series of holes spaced exactly the same distance away from the guide edge. This is an exceptionally well designed tool.

> 24 hourThis is easy to use and makes punching a hole a fairly easy job. However, it is not easy to change the size. I couldnt figure out how to, until I went to others reviews where they said you have to unscrew the whole thing. Thats just not logical. The dial wont turn to change size as it is. Fortunately for me, I think the size it is pre-set on is probably the only one Id use anyway. It is about the standard small size for a belt. If you have larger holes in your belt then this might not work for you. It seems heavy duty and would get a 4 if I could change the sizing more easily.

> 24 hourI wind up having to punch holes in many things and many different materials. This device works like a champ! Its easy on my hands. Works on many materials for me: paper, leather, cloth, cardboard. Ive switched out my older punch for this one.

> 24 hourIm sure Im not the only person who put on a few pounds during the pandemic. So, the choice is, resign to reality and purchase a new belt until you can shed those extra pounds, or just give yourself a little grace with this little beauty and save some money until youre back in your pre-pandemic shape. I had several belts that were perfect, so I really didnt want to buy all new ones. (They are expensive, after all). So, with this, I can just add an extra hole for a bit while we get back in shape. No need to buy new belts, just customize them. This is also great for kids. This will help my son be able to use his church belt for a few extra months, if not a year just by giving it a few additional adjustment sections. One use case that a lot of folks dont consider is adjusting your shoelace patterns. There are some athletic shoes, particularly running shoes, that have unusual lace patterns that can bite across the top of my foot. With this, I can create new shoelace patterns in between the existing holes that allow the laces to avoid the sensitive areas. Also great for hockey skates, but youll need to reinforce those with rivets. All in all, this is a great little item that has paid for itself already!

> 24 hourIt’s a breeze through leather and thin plastic. I don’t need to cut metal so I’ll save that test for later. Nicely made.

> 24 hourIncredible! Like punching through butter! Takes the work out of punching. I was more than pleasantly surprised with the sharp cut through .085 leather right out of the box. Overall, the tool is heavy and well built. The handles are hefty, comfortable and operate with such ease its amazing. It feels good to squeeze this punch and watch how easy it goes through the heavy material. I think you could punch holes all day and not hurt your hands. Ive had several leather punches over the years and never really had much luck with them. I always resorted to punch and die style, but this is so much easier and takes up less space, too. Theres even a little holder in the handle for the allen wrench. The wrench stays out of the way and you can keep it stored there during use without any obstruction. Not to mention trying to keep it together in your tool box. Brilliant design addition! I wish more tools would do this. Small problem - no instructions included. If you look closely there are numbers on the top punch wheel and numbers on the lower plate. Youll simply loosen the screws and turn the hole device and then match up the same size hole in the plate. Simple but it took me a minute to figure out. Instructions would be good for someone using a tool like this for the first time. Im impressed! I hope it stays sharp as it doesnt appear you can get a replacement wheel for the holes if they need sharpening. Unfortunately, that makes it disposable. I dont do leather work on a constant basis, so I think Ill have this for a long time. My Dad does leather working as a consistent hobby and he was so impressed I had to leave this with him and buy another for myself. The price is great for a hand tool that takes the work out of punching. Must have for any tool box!
