Makes very nice holes of several different sizes.

Good leather punch! The hole puncher cuts cleaner than most other tools! The cutter is on the flat end and not the actual puncher tube, so the bits if leather don’t get stuck, and the hole cuts much cleaner! Easy to align to the material to have precise holes. The pliers have good leverage to punch through tough leather, and I have also used it on canvas. Great tool to have in the toolbox! Looks very well made, and easy to use. Great price!

This leather hole punch feels very solid and heavy duty. The handle area opens nearly too wide for my small, female hands to grip unless it’s at least halfway closed. No instructions are included, which would have been helpful for me, since I’m new to this type of tool and since there are several places on it to make adjustments that I don’t necessarily understand intuitively. The single photo of instructions found here on the product page are still a little over my non-mechanical head, but they’re better than nothing. Still, I had to ask my husband to figure out how to make adjustments and even spin the main selection wheel. Now that I know how to adjust it, this tool is fairly easy for me to operate (other than the wide grip). You’ll want to learn to select the puncher you want, select the hole size the puncher will press thru, and adjust the spacer bar for uniformity. An included Allen Wrench is cleverly stored on the handle for making certain adjustments. I own a lot of leather chokers and fashion harnesses that can’t be tightened enough to properly fit me using the provided holes, so I was eager to make new holes safely and efficiently with this tool as opposed to attempting some creative, risky endeavor I might concoct otherwise. Thankfully, this item works perfectly, and I punched all the holes I was wanting to. I know I’ll need it again in the future, so I’m glad I’ll have it so readily available. Overall, this is a fantastic leather hole puncher (in my novice opinion) that only really needs some clear instructions and maybe some accommodation for smaller hands.

Took a minute to figure out how to change the punch head. But once that was done everything was a breeze from there. Not your old dads leather punch where you need pounds of pressure. Nice hard squeeze and the extra hole was in the belt. Six different hole sizes to make it easy to punch any size hole you need. Feels good in the hands. Seems petty four stars due to no instructions. Think for people that have never used one instructions would be nice.

I am very pleased with all of the quality features of this hand operated hole punch. Many of the hole punches I have used in the past have been sharpened hollow tubes that cut through the material forcing the “hole” up through the tube while pressing the sharpened edge against a flat surface (usually of solid metal). This often results in a slightly frayed edge on the hole where part of the sharpened edge didn’t quite touch the surface. And this only gets worse with more use because the blade gets dulled by being pressed against the supporting surface. This hole punch operates differently: the beveled punch head cuts through the material at a dual angle (which helps maintain a straight edged cut) and then pushes the “hole” down through a matching hole in the supporting surface in a scissoring action and forcing the waste “hole” freely out of the tool. Each of the “punch” sizes has a matching “hole” that avoids any metal to metal contact - the punch slides freely through the matching hole - thus preventing any dulling of the punch caused by the working of the tool itself. There is, also, an adjustable throat depth guide to keep a series of holes spaced exactly the same distance away from the guide edge. This is an exceptionally well designed tool.

This punch came in a plain, recyclable box, with poly-foam padding (not recyclable). In some ways, this punch is much better than the cheap punch I purchased at a local hardware store several years ago. The V blades definitely make holes cleaner, and more easily than the straight style of my older one. While the depth guard makes it very handy to make consistently spaced holes, it also limits how deep the punch can go. Still, it should be fine for 90% of the belts out there. My only complaint is that it seems like a slightly complicated device in its different adjustment options. I figured it out (I think), but a set of illustrated directions is needed.

It’s a breeze through leather and thin plastic. I don’t need to cut metal so I’ll save that test for later. Nicely made.

I wind up having to punch holes in many things and many different materials. This device works like a champ! Its easy on my hands. Works on many materials for me: paper, leather, cloth, cardboard. Ive switched out my older punch for this one.

Its made from high-quality materials and is incredibly easy to use. It punches clean holes with no jagged edges - something that’s especially important for leather projects. It also comes with different sized hole punchers so you can customize your projects to your exact needs.

It takes strength and a lot of squeezing pressure to punch holes in a quality mens leather belt, which typically has 2 layers of leather. All the punches I had bought in the past were not strong enough for the job and would bend out of shape very quickly. I had nearly given up, but decided to give this one a try thanks to Amazons return policy. But this one is a keeper. It is very well-made with sturdy metal parts. I punched 2 dozen clean holes in heavy leather belts with relative ease.
