> 24 hourThis series is the only few vacuum robots that are not made in China and doesn’t have a camera spying on you. It can also cross thresholds reliably.

> 24 hourIt does struggle a bit with deeper dust or larger pieces of dirt so I do still use my Dyson once every now and again, but I set the Roomba to clean everything downstairs every night and it keeps the pet hair perfectly under control (I have one medium coated dog, one short haired cat, and one medium to long haired cat whose hobby is shedding huge clumps of fur everywhere, as well as frequently watching my grandmothers cat, so, lots of fur). Ill likely get a second one for upstairs at some point.

> 24 hourIt took a while to get a map and once complete it seems more confused than ready to clean. It’s constantly running around ‘thinking’ more than cleaning it seems. I wish it had a remote where I could help it out like my last one did! Overall for the price and comparing my first brand (Deebot) I don’t think it’s far superior other than self cleaning.

> 24 hourLove the Roombas. I have the more expensive i9 but bought the i4 for another floor. I wish it had the mapping of the i9 so I can do small areas and not the whole floor. Other than that feature, it is great cleaning up dog hair and other debris from carpets and hardwood floors. I have 4 which run every day and do a great job. They are a little noisy on hardwoods.

> 24 hourOverall this is an excellent product. I can set it do work while Im away from home. Its quieter than my stand up vacuum and can get to hard to reach places like under my fireplace bench. It does have mapping just not the smart mapping that all the other reviews said it as missing. You have the option to join beta testing through the app so who knows maybe itll be added one day. Pros: Self-emptying and charging picks-up pet hair and dirt motivates me to clean where is robot cant go (like my stairs) scheduled cleanings easily done through the app teamwork-I can focus on other areas of my house to clean while to robot is working Cons: Culture of waste created by the company to make profit. The replaceable parts are purposely not meant to last. I can already see that the brushes will need to be replaced in 6 months or less. (Ive had this robot for about a week) Dust bags are disposable not reusable for the i4 Considering all the replacement part youll have to buy over the life time of the product the price point is too high.

> 24 hourThis vacuum with the auto empty is nice. The gotcha that I would advise is make sure you have 2.4 ghz wifi. This will not work with new 5ghz It was a bear to get connected to wifi and the app will auto disconnect that requires me to restart my phone for it to work. It does a great job cleaning and the empty feature is also awesome. My son has a previous model roomba and same issues. I have a Samsung vacuum upstairs and had no connection issues. That is the most frustrating part of this. I open the app and sometimes it just works and I kick off the vacuum other times the only way to fix is to reboot my phone- I have Samsung Galaxy S20 ultra. But have found many others with same issue by googling. It took me 2 hrs to get the vacuum to connect during setup. I found the trick to finally be a factory reset on the vacuum that let it connect to.my wifi - I have both 5 and 2.4 with smart detect. I even broke those out created separate ones changed connection types it was a bear. And something surprising for how long they have been around - didnt face any connection issue setting my Samsung vacuum on same connections though

> 24 hourGenerally Im a fan of Roombas. This isnt our first one, but an upgrade to an older model which has been reassigned to a different space in the house. This one caused some real setup headaches, unlike my prior Roombas. If you search Roomba i4 problems with Eero wifi youll see multiple discussions (Reddit, etc.) where this model just DOES NOT WORK with Eero 6. Some people have figured out workarounds by manually changing network settings, but that didnt work for me. Ultimately, I set up a separate hotspot for this Roomba - otherwise it would not connect to my Eero and thus wouldnt complete setup in the iRobot app. Overall, the setup process was fiddly and full of trial and error. Reminded me a lot of what it was like to configure new PC hardware 30+ years ago. And thats not a compliment.

> 24 hourThe product is great! It didnt come with a manufacturer waranty, registration or a QR code to help with set up. This is strange. Product was sold to me as new, wouldnt this information be included?

> 24 hourI was so excited to finally splurge on a Roomba - I have two dogs and live where fir needles are a constant in the house. After running it the first time, my excitement died down. My roommate and I agreed that it was a good in-between cleanings vacuum. Something to help keep the amount of needles down, but if companys coming over we need to use the upright vacuum. Weve used it a handful of times now, and yesterday was the worst run yet. It missed large areas of some rooms, while going over others 3-4 times. It definitely does not do straight lines! I wish I could elect to do specific rooms, but I wasnt ready to spend that much for those models. I dont know that I would purchase it again, but I will continue using it for the in-between cleanings.
