> 3 dayAbsolutely nothing special about this things vacuuming ability. I bought this vacuum for our upstairs, roughly 700 sq ft. It takes the Roomba over an hour to do its job and it does an okay job at best, really it needs to do 2 passes 3 times a week to get the pet hair (from 1 cat), which now puts it at over 2 hours to do its job. Spectacularly unimpressive. It gets stuck in odd locations it didnt have a problem with 3 days prior and you have to go save it. After a whopping 2 months, the vacuum broke. I should have bought the warranty but it wouldnt change this review, it would just make it an easier pill to swallow having bought the wrong product, but my takeaway of I should have bought a Dyson would still stand. I understand things break and the replacement parts arent very expensive but I wouldnt have bought any product with these kinds of issues. This product definitely does NOT need vacuum bags. Unneeded design add-on to help drive up the price. A bin the customers could have dumped would have been just as easy to include in the design. I ordered some pocket zippers and hot glued them onto the back of a few bags I cut a slit in, and now I have reusable bags. Works Great! 10 out of 10 on a product idea. 3 out of 10 on product execution. Overall it doesnt vacuum very well, its slow, its noisy, it takes more maintenance than youd expect from a vacuum, especially a vacuum with a higher price tag. Cool idea, still a long way to go before this is a good product.

> 3 dayHave had i4 for a month and am disappointed. On the plus side, it does pick up good and the self-empty feature works good. on the down side, the i4 (basically the same as i3) is random in its vacuuming process. The model is not able to use smart mapping, which is a feature I discovered is available on newer i7 and up models. Smart mapping is really needed on a smart iRobot type vacuum and I wish I knew this before I purchased. I contacted support via email, which took a week to respond, which then confirmed, too bad, your model doesnt have the latest feature and we cant upgrade the firmware Ill keep using it, since it does vacuum, but I am disappointed with the poor programing and features of the i4.

> 3 daySo, we bought one of these for our main floor. Had it for a few weeks, and loved it. Created a map on the first cycle, and all was good. So we bought another one for the second floor. This one was on the spectrum I think... Ran it probably 7 times, and it would not create a map. Then it started running in circles, going up and down the same area, just acting weird. Tried contacting support, useless. I put in the ticket almost two weeks ago and still havent heard back. We ended up sending it back to Amazon, and got a new unit. This one is doing much better but still had some issues. On the first couple runs, it cleaned our whole house but for some reason only created half a map. Then when it would clean, it wouldnt go any further even though the map ended right in our hallway. It would stop in the middle of the hallway and go back. Deleted the map, then had it to another everywhere run. This finally worked. So, I would recommend it but but only because the first example we bought did such a great job. Hopefully both of these dont need much support, because Im not sure support is even available given my experience... Update 11/25/2022: The 2nd floor unit has been doing pretty good. Both of our i4s have issues periodically. Sometimes they just decide they will not finish the whole floor and report back they did, or get caught on something stupid like an electric piano stand. Or, occasionally the map wont load. Overall though, they do a very good job of keeping the floors clean. (Upgrading to a 4 star rating) Most errors can be cleared by simply rebooting them. We also bought a refurbished i7 for our finished basement which is mostly carpet. The i7 is a much smarter robot, and hasnt got caught or had any problems yet. Its much more efficient at cleaning too. If you can afford the i7, it will be less hassle but the i4s generally get the job done.

Greater than one weekThere is a chance that I have a defective unit. I am willing to believe that. Otherwise there is no excuse for how bad this machine is. It came scratched up without me ordering a used one in a box that was almost destroyed and was barely hanging together with loads of tape on the outside. When it comes to actually cleaning it is TERRIBLE. I have a german shepherd so I do have a lot of hair to clean up. I ordered this because I wanted something that could handle the pet hair and clean itself out when it was too full. It does neither of these things. It will barely run for 5 minutes before giving an error for a blocked brush. Now, this might not be a huge issue if it would then go and clean itself out to clear up the issue, but FOR SOME REASON instead of being able to go back to its home base it just sits wherever the error happened and you have to go fetch it. What is the point of the automatic emptying if an error that can be solved by emptying it is never utilized?????? Also when it does go back it sounds like a shopvac, but I guess theres only so much you can ask for. In summation: I thought I was ordering a new device that would mean I had to empty out my vacuum a little less often and instead what I got was a used device that has required a lot more maintenance from me than the offbrand vacuum that I have been using. I may see if a replacement will solve this issue, but if not I dont really understand the point of this device.

> 3 dayThe Roomba i4 (4552) model is a great time saver. I give a 4 on battery life only because it has to recharge during the cleaning. However, since it works automatically, it is not an issue. My floor has a lot of obstacles which causes the Roomba to have navigation problems because it bumps into chair and table legs. If you have a lot of open space the machine will be very effective and get the job done quicker. This is a great machine that cleans well. Yes, it is loud when emptying the dirt. That is not a problem, though- it is automatic! I purchased it during an Amazon Prime Day sale and got a great deal of $399.00. If you have a floor with open spaces it will work very well and quickly. If you have lots of obstacles, it will take longer to complete the job and you may have to reset it. Overall, it is a good buy.

> 3 dayWorks well for keeping wood floors clean. The one problem I encountered with the iRobot i4 was during set up. I created an account on the iRobot Home app, but the i4 was not syncing to the wifi network. I also bought a M6 iRobot mop and there were no issues connecting the mop to the app to my iPhone. I have an iPhone 8 and there is currently an issue with the iRobot Home app and iPhone. I was able to get the i4 to sync and connect through the app with my wifes Samsung phone. After that I can see the i4 on my iPhone, start and stop vacuum jobs, and program which rooms Id like cleaned. I am able to look at the data the vacuum provides after each use. It tells me how long it was running, what areas of the house it vacuumed, how many square feet were cleaned. It is used daily and keeps dirt and pet hair down and out of the way.

> 3 dayThe vacuum works great. Got lost on the first try at mapping my house. The map shows great in iOS, but will not work on my Android. Being able to create rooms and combine spaces is great, The battery life is excellent. Not having to empty the vacuum when it finishes is a plus.

> 3 dayWanted to get this to help manage dog hair in my tiny apartment. It does an okay job on wood/hard floors but is pretty lacking even with a low-pile rug. What’s more disappointing is how often this thing gets stuck, which is literally every time I use it. It will get stuck behind doors, under tables, under the couch, under the bed. If there’s somewhere it can get stuck, it will, and even when you try to help it out, it either goes right back and gets stuck again or just will fritz out and stop working until you carry it back to the dock. Would not recommend this model.

> 3 dayI dont leave many reviews, but I can tell you that this is a great product. My Roomba is able to clean the vast majority of my apartment with ease and removes the hassle of having to vacuum all the time. It is a little noisy, but it isnt unbearably loud and Ill gladly accept a little bit of noise for a very powerful, automated vacuum. 5/5 --> excellent product.
