Id bought this book because of reviews Id read on the sewing forums. It was more difficult than I thought to find the cotton clothesline than I expected, but once I found some, I havent stopped. Its really addictive - wrapping scrap fabric around the clothesline, then sewing the coil to form baskets of differing shapes. The book is well-written, with lots of illustrations, to make it easy for sewers. Even beginning sewists can be successful - essentially you only need to be able zig-zag to construct your baskets. These baskets make really neat gifts as well - much better than Amish Friendship Bread!

This started out as a mother, daughter craft and turned into more children joining our group. When childs take their projects home and their parents asked to show them how its done

Yes, you can find out how to sew a fabric wrapped cord bowl or basket on the internet, but I liked having detailed instructions that were easy to refer back to as I made my first project. The directions were easy to follow, and the pictures very helpful.

Got this book and Its A Wrap II for my birthday last month. Have already made a bowl. The technique is not hard to pick up on at all and the directions are clearly written in these books. Each photo shown has detailed instructions including the yardage of clothesline needed to complete the project and the amount of fabric needed for the project too. I cant wait to make place mats next.

My 13 year old granddaughter is having fun making bowls for her friends with fabric scraps. Easy & fast small projects.

Ive had bags of material scraps for years sitting in my closets, taking up space. Now there is a gorgeous, easy-to-understand book that shows what to do with all those and end up with a very creative, one-of-a-kind result. It doesnt take a fancy sewing machine and very few accessories, which is great for me. Im looking forward to begin my first project.

I would like to have seen more purses/bags in this book, but purchased it for the technique. The book covers the process very well. I will keep this book. It could also be a way to do an artful wall hanging.
