My assortment arrived with Fire Red dye instead of the Hot Fuchsia pictured on Amazon’s product photograph (the other three dyes were correct). This is a problem since Hot Fuchsia is required to mix many of the colors shown on the Jacquard color mixing wheel. I suppose I will have to separately purchase Hot Fuchsia dye (if it ever becomes available on Amazon) if I am to get any use out of this dye set.

Not sure if the individual containers should have been sealed, but none of mine were. They opened very easily with NO seals. Containers were less than half filled and black had the least amount of powder.

Easy to use and a good starter kit. I ended up receiving hot fuchsia and would have kept looking at other kits if I knew I would be getting fuchsia instead of the red pictured.

This is a great kit. Citric acid is highly preferable to vinegar in my opinion. Unless you like your kitchen smelling like salad! I needed black dye to make olive drab. I’m glad that I got the set though. Not only did it arrive in time, which is what mattered, the other primaries gave me a finished product far better than had I gone with either just “olive” jacquard dye or even adding the black. Adding a touch of yellow and blue can make all the difference.

First time using Acid dye. Have been getting very vibrant colors. Had to research more to be clear on instructions how to use this kind of dye. Good packaging. So far - getting results I need.

Weve been having a lot of fun using these on yarn. We really like the resulting strong colors.

I used these for dying deer hair for tying buck tail jigs. It did a good job. It was my first time doing it, so I cant blame any color issues on the dyes. However, you do not need all colors equally- you need a lot of yellow and very little of some other colors. But this pack will get you started.

This set offers a comprehensive introduction to color mixing with dyes. The set contains 1/2 oz. jars of Acid Dyes in sun yellow, hot fuchsia, turquoise and jet black, one 1 lb. bottle of Citric Acid and a color wheel-style mixing chart.
