> 24 hourThis is the most annoying thing I have ever dealt with in my entire life and that’s saying a lot. The audio cuts out extremely often (every 5 seconds to every 15mins) and you either have to restart your computer, switch to a different audio output & back again, or turn off the projector & back on again, and these solutions only work for a couple of seconds to a few minutes at most. I’ve only had it for a year and I’ve had this problem ever since I bought it.

> 24 hourI wanted my first projector so I can dabble in visual projecting for artistic purposes for small projects like mural sketching and ambient illumination for artistic events, but I didnt want to spend a ton, as its not my main work tool. The projector works, is bright enough for my purposes The audio from the projector is also nice and loud, and the fan noise isnt too bothersome. But the edges do get a tad blurry when trying to focus, and of course, as other reviewers have pointed out, the brightness isnt what is described. Im giving it 5 stars because for the price and my purposes its ok. If someday I need something more professional, I will purchase one of the bigger brand names, but as in introductory tool, its great.

> 24 hourLets start with this is a really good projector for what it costs but its not watchable in my home theatre. When I first set this up the picture was beyond awful even after adjusting the keystone and focus and I didnt expect it to be great considering the low price. I felt something was wrong with my setup and spent several hours researching before I blamed the projector. I read the digital keystone adjustment lowers the resolution so I lowered my Xbox video output to 720p and that was a huge improvement. From what I read a sharp angle will reduce the quality of the image on most projectors so Im going to fix that as my projector is hanging from a 9ft ceiling when most are 8. I have the projector in an all black room and the image is projected onto a projector screen and its almost unwatchable set at 9ft away from the screen. I think this will be a great projector for the price if its installed where I dont have to use keystone adjustment and its closer to the screen so the projected image is 75 inches or less. Im probably going to return it and get a TV or a more expensive projector. If I dont return it Ill use it for playing movies outside l. Ill update the review after reducing the angle the keystone has to adjust to. Do your research before deciding to buy a projector if you plan to use it everyday. Its not like a TV where you hang it on the wall and your done. This is a more work and higher potential enjoyment scenario. Id like to see this brand create a mid range projector Im very impressed for the money spent but I got what I paid for a budget projector. I tried adjusting it again with a flush mount and than moving it closer so the screen was 75 inches. It looked better but I wasnt feeling it. This is a good projector for the price.

> 24 hourPicture quality is GORGEOUS and when the speakers overpower the projectors fan, the sound quality is also great. I always have guests because now I have the biggest screen, but the fan is louD and it gets hot in the room. With the volume up you can’t hear it anymore and we turn no the fan, but I’m for sure buying a sound bar and mounting it so that it’s not so close to me anymore. (Right now i have it sitting on my vanity close to my bed.)

> 24 hourThis projector is amazing. I got it as a gift for Christmas. It looks super big and bright on my gray wall and the sound quality is good too. You cant see it that well when the lights are on but thats a given. You can also adjust the quality. I use Apple Tv for mine but Im sure you can connect it to a phone or Laptop.

> 24 hourI would have gave this 5 starts but the unit I received had some contaminant in the lens and could be seen when locus was set at the closest setting. I still gave it a test run while I wait for the replacement. The picture is good for the price point, it looks like 1080, brightness is good. Sound is good, fan noise is moderate. I am still testing this thing out so I will update this later. I do not sellout for gifts either, these are my unbiased experiences with a purchase.

> 24 hourAmazing projector! Especially for the money. The only thing that was what I expected was how loud the project fan is. But, if you use speakers like a sound bar its no problem at all.

> 24 hourVery good quality projector especially for the money. The reason its not 5 star to me is there is no automatic screen fitting feature. What this means is that the only way to get the projector to look to fit a certain size and be a perfect rectangle without the screen being distorted is it physically has to sit in the right location which is not always an option for everyone due to room size pr furniture arrangements. Also there is no horizontal keystone shifting only vertical. Other then these criticisms its a high quality bright projector. Just make sure you have the ability to put it in the correct spot to fit your wall/screen in your home before you buy it

> 24 hourUPDATE (left the original review below). The replacement had the same issue with Chromecast (crackling sound, sound ahead of picture) while working fine with a Roku. The real problem? I use this for about 1 to 2 hours an evening. This replacement came is early March. It is now early April and in the middle of a film last night the picture died but the sound kept working. I tried all the troubleshooting steps and nope, just a dead visual. Suffice to say, this time its just a return. I guess you really do get what you pay for... And yes, the fan is LOUD. For the price, the picture is fine; probably not true native 1080p, but if youre only looking to spend a couple hundred bucks you could do much worse. The issue here is the sound. The fan is CRAZY loud. But thats not my issue. After about two weeks of using about 2 hours a day for movie nights, the speakers started crackling and popping like when youre on a road trip and youre just starting to get out of range of the radio station youre listening to. Amazon was great about an exchange, so when the replacement comes well see if I just had a bum unit or if this is a product-wide issue. UPDATE So it seems the issue is casting. If I plug a Roku into it, no problem. But a chromecast? Bluetooth? Sounds lags behind the choppy picture. Deciding whether or not this is reason to simply return the product and find something else.

> 24 hourThe M18 v1.0 is probably one of the best budget projectors on the market. Its picture quality is great (so much better than $100 budget projectors), its brightness is decent for most room lighting conditions, and its sound quality is good. The fans/motor noise is loud, but you tend to not notice it after a couple of weeks. Strategic projector placement and external speakers may help. Otherwise, I’m very happy with my purchase and would recommend any native 1080p projectors, and specifically M18, to any friends/family looking for a mostly enjoyable projector viewing experience. Breakdown incident - after unplugging it for the holidays (~6 days), we plugged it back in and suddenly it wouldn’t turn on. We troubleshooted with new power cord and using other outlets, but still no power (besides faint green light on power button). After communicating with customer service via email, they kindly agreed to send us a new replacement projector free of charge. We’ve had it for a week now, and things appear to be working great again. Long story short, when the projector works as expected, it’s great; when it doesn’t, JIMTAB support will help you troubleshoot and eventually take care of you properly, so it’s great then too.
