JINTU Smart Plug,Smart Outlet Home Wifi Dual Two USB Plug Compatible with Alexa, Google, IFTTT for Smartphone, Voice Control, Remote Control,No Hub Required,Overload Protection

I bought two of these in hopes of streamlining my lighting. One doesn’t even turn on and the other will not connect to my app after trying for an hour.

Unlike in the picture, where it clearly shows this plug in an outlet with plenty of room around it for another item to plug in, thats just not the case. This thing is large enough that it will block a second outlet. Which is a shame because all theyd have to have done is more where the pins come out to allow space. But its right in the middle so just totally blocks the other outlet. Second, I couldnt get this to connect after trying a dozen times. I tried auto/ez, manual mode, multiple options. Nothing worked. And I have a number of other devices and Alexa plugs that work great. Finally, from the audible clicks as it switches configurations to just the feel, build quality does not feel good. Id be concerned about any real use. You get what you pay for. In this case I took a chance on a cheap item. My plan is to just throw it away.

Took a few tries to understand how the app works with the device. Then I saw what a great and useful product this is. Would buy again.

You can’t turn the USB ports on and off separately. You have to either turn both on or neither :(

This plug is perfect. I do a lot of baking and I can never have everything I need plugged in at the same time, this allows mw to plug in 3 appliances and still charge my phone at this same time! It has a button on top you push to power it on l, and I followed the instructions to connect to my alexa! Not all that difficult I would get another!

I struggled pretty hard with installation, so here are is a tip: make sure to separate your wifi into 2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz. (The product works well with one compared to the other). Follow the directions listed on the amazon product page vs. trying to follow the ones they sent with the plug. The product itself is easy to use, although its hard to remember which one is switch 1 vs. switch 2 when youre giving Alexa commands. Eventually, Alexa realized that one of the switches was a lamp, so voice commands have been easier since then. Overall, this product has been the cherry on top of my new Alexa and Im happy I bought it!
