JOHNNY B. King Mode Hair Styling Gel 32 oz.

The barber I take my son to always uses this to style his hair after his haircuts. It smells so good, I had to order it. It doesnt take much to style my sons hair (and his hair stays in place all day), so Im guessing this is going to last awhile.

This product is really great for hold and a plus is the smell! The hold will last all day and you can readjust if needed with some water. It washes out very easily too. You don’t have to worry about it flaking either. Definitely not your average gel. This product doesn’t require a lot to get that great hold for your hair style. I use about the size of a dime or less. I can see this lasting me longer than expected. My barber always uses this product and he was the one who influenced me to start using this product compared to the previous product I was using before. Another plus with this product it doesn’t have alcohol in it and it’s not oily either.

I like the smell of this gel. It doesn’t leave streaks on fabric if you lean on anything. The hold is very good and it’s great for all hair. My wife used it on my daughters long hair to comb her and my daughter liked it as well. Overall a great product.

Great scent - more masculine than the original scent (blue), thickness and hold is the same. I have straight hair. Family loves it.

Ive used Johnny B Mode for years but have recently begun to experience some breakouts on my scalp. After months of experimenting, I traced it to being Mode as the culprit. I order this King Mode version in hopes that the different perfume used in it might fix my issue. The jury is still out.... As with regular Mode, this version is feels like a cross between a gel and pomade. It offers high gloss look that lasts all day (and probably longer). Even though it is supposedly water soluble, it does not come out of your hair or off your hands very easily. This is great for styling but annoying for washing your hands and hair. Im not a big fan of King Modes scent. Its certainly not worth any sort of price premium compared to regular Mode. Its more towards an Acqua di Gio type of scent. It not offensive by any means, just not my style and a little overpowering. 4 stars for the performance of the product, 2 stars for the scent = 3 stars here on Amazon. Johnny B if youre listening, please begin to offer your products scent free!
