Joshs Frogs Substrate Barrier (24x18)

This is a very small square of felt like fabric.

Bought product to use for multiple glass sealed terrariums. Has kept the substrate from the false bottom. Works well.

This is by far the best substrate barrier I’ve used in my terrarium builds. It disappears if you cut it correctly so there is no unsightly line between the substrate and the false bottom. It’s a tad expensive, especially if you are making numerous terrariums, but it is far superior to any of the cheaper options I’ve tried. Water drains through to the false bottom, substrate stays put.

I use this in both my terrarium and vivarium. I personally prefer this over the wire mesh. The substrate above stays out of the false bottom, even the micro substrate particles. With Joshs Frogs you can always expect both fast deliveries and quality.

Good product you know is pet safe

I thought this would be way more material and would at least attempt to compete on the price tag with others who offer the same material at a lower cost for more than youll get here. Nope. Ill not be buying this again.

Exactly as described

It’s really good substrate barrier, the only problem is it was hard for me to make it flat and also put enough and still have it be flat. It comes in little balls and it’s like trying to make a layer of coco puffs flat.

I like and use this barrier in my snake’s vivarium. It works really well keeping the dirt out of my false bottom. I understand it’s supposed to allow moisture through but it is quite thin. I’d have liked it a little thicker but it does it’s job and I’m happy regardless.

This was nothing but a con job, this was a very poorly (sloppy as all get out) hand cut piece of ultra thin weed barrier from like a Family Dollar where it will cost $5 for a 24 x 50 foot roll. I am angry that they sent me this useless overpriced junk. Screw you Joshs Frogs, your sloppy gougey repackage job sucks and you should be ashamed! I bought 5 of these for $8 each, OUCH!
