This strainer is heavy and does the job, when the sink is running and there is a lot of water, it stays in place and keeps solids out of the drain. Buy it.

Way Better than the flexible mesh screen ones that are hard to clean out as food particles get stuck in the mesh screen. This one cleans out easily and quickly under running water. Never going back to using the flexible mesh screen ones ever again. You wont be disappointed.

These are the very best strainers we have ever used. Durable, lightweight and effective. Catch all fine particles before getting in the drain line. Really crucial since were on a septic. They clean fairly well - just tap on the inside of trash can and the debris fall off. Better to do it when its dry. Nice chrome finish for our sink.

Needed to replace the sink strainers for my kitchen and decided on purchasing these specific ones mainly for the price point. I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy the strainers are. They fit perfectly, easy to remove and clean out, and so far not having any issues with rusting. Definitely doing the job and happy with the product so far.

Nothing gets past this one! But seriously , if you do have food stuff in the sink this steel trap won’t let it go down and won’t let the water go down either lol . I find that I have use my fingers to move the debris waste away from the mesh a little so that the water can drain. I guess you can say it works

Cleaning this item is a breeze. It can be rinsed off or easily cleaned in the dishwasher. Additionally, it has shown no signs of rust or corrosion.

Great strainers, definitely usable in non sink applications as well. I used mine to hold a chilled reusable ice cube over my espresso
