Greater than one weekThese would be fine as front left and right speakers in a smaller setup, but I use them as rear surrounds. They are so crisp and clear and really bring out the detail in things I’ve listened to for years but am hearing differently now.

> 3 dayThe speakers sound great, they really fill up the room. My only complaint is they are so small, they look tiny and unimpressive on the bookshelf. I wish I had gone ahead and spent the extra $200 for the larger model.

19-11-2024I purchased these speakers to use as fronts with an RP400C in a 5.1 setup. The sound was fantastic, especially considering the size. I did end up returning them in favor for the RP600Ms only because I realized I could fit bigger speakers in my place. However, if room was an issue I would not hesitate to purchase these. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayVery solid for a small room. Fills it with rich sound. Paired with a Klipsch 10” sub and they are immaculate sounding.

> 3 dayOther than coming in a generic box (but well packaged) I would not know they were renewed.

> 3 dayRecently got a pair of RP-500Ms at a newer clearance price point to compare against a couple of my other favorite speakers - Energy RC-10 & Klipsch RP-150M. All feature ~ 5 woofers and 1 metal tweeters (titanium) in a horn, Klipsch, or (aluminum) in a waveguide on the Energy. To my ears the RP-500Ms mids and treble sound SLIGHTLY more refined and detailed than through the RP-150Ms. Almost a wash. If youre on the fence, the RP-150M sounds just about as good as the RP-500Ms. The RP-500Ms are almost the equal of the RC-10s. However, the Energys just sound smoother and more full bodied across the musical spectrum regardless of genre. Too bad Voxx International, the parent company of both Klipsch and Energy, doesnt seem to be focused on refining/marketing the Energy brand. Again, in my opinion only, the Energys exceed either Klipsch model regarding sound and construction quality. The RC-10s are finished in real wood veneer. Klipsch are finished with wood look vinyl. Energy RC-10s take the cake. March, 2023 Update-I bought into the overly positive online hype and chatter surrounding the RP-600Ms. Bigger is better, right? Not quite. The 600Ms sound flabby and unbalanced compared to the well balanced 500Ms. Promptly returned the over hyped Speaker Of The Year 600Ms.

> 3 dayIm writing this review about a day after receiving my delivery, and the price is already about $150 more than I paid. So, I can only review this speakers value according to what I paid. I think its a 5 star value in the $350 range. Sounds great, and way more sound possible than my apartment can handle, but I expect to keep them forever. There is a nice printed manual included, but seems geared more toward the Reference Premiere series as a whole, and not the specific RP-500M itself. Little things matter, like the angled bevels on the front make the speaker look off kilter with respect to almost anything that is level in your home, at almost any viewing angle. They are bookshelf speakers, and your bookshelf is probably level. It doesnt bother me, but the bevels dont serve any functional purpose, so I question what was the point of that design choice. Finally, I think a speaker selling for close to $500 now could be manufactured profitably somewhere other than China. I know Klipsch makes their best speakers in the U.S., and the next time around that will weigh heavily in my decision. Crazy idea: Try using some real wood! I think its silly comparing the quality of fake wood on all the different speakers. Klipsch should pay attention.

> 3 dayVery clean looking, clear sounding, loud. Quality you can see, touch, and hear. Make sure to pair with an amp/receiver of, at least, reasonable quality for best results. Currently using for a 2.1 setup, great imaging.

> 3 dayThese RP are the first pair of Klipsch I have bought, and after 60 hrs of break-in they sound fabulous. The titanium horn tweeter is unbelievably smooth, the mids are very warm and they sound great. Very nice build quality, magnet grills are also quite nice. I am using them as surround speakers in a 7.1 system and they perform excellent. The drivers have bass extension, and the soundstage is very good. My use is primarily for music, and I think they sound great. Solid purchase.
