> 3 dayInflated prices for this product, the actual value of the speakers are in question. The price has varied almost $200.00 in 6 months. They probably are worth about $200.00 but not much more if any.

> 3 dayGreat monitors in my studio. Mid and Highs sing! Bass, its a 5 1/4 driver, you didnt get these to shake the walls. A subwoofer would make this pair nearly perfect.

Greater than one weekRecently got a pair of RP-500Ms at a newer clearance price point to compare against a couple of my other favorite speakers - Energy RC-10 & Klipsch RP-150M. All feature ~ 5 woofers and 1 metal tweeters (titanium) in a horn, Klipsch, or (aluminum) in a waveguide on the Energy. To my ears the RP-500Ms mids and treble sound SLIGHTLY more refined and detailed than through the RP-150Ms. Almost a wash. If youre on the fence, the RP-150M sounds just about as good as the RP-500Ms. The RP-500Ms are almost the equal of the RC-10s. However, the Energys just sound smoother and more full bodied across the musical spectrum regardless of genre. Too bad Voxx International, the parent company of both Klipsch and Energy, doesnt seem to be focused on refining/marketing the Energy brand. Again, in my opinion only, the Energys exceed either Klipsch model regarding sound and construction quality. The RC-10s are finished in real wood veneer. Klipsch are finished with wood look vinyl. Energy RC-10s take the cake. March, 2023 Update-I bought into the overly positive online hype and chatter surrounding the RP-600Ms. Bigger is better, right? Not quite. The 600Ms sound flabby and unbalanced compared to the well balanced 500Ms. Promptly returned the over hyped Speaker Of The Year 600Ms.

> 3 dayAfter having struggled for years to find the sound that met my needs, I discovered and owned Definitive Technology BP towers for over twenty years, and I loved every single moment of the experience. Well, that experience came to a screeching halt when the family pet managed to break one of my speakers... Multiple attempts were made to arrange for repair of the damaged speaker, in the end to only be told the parts are unavailable, ship it to us you pay for the several hundreds of dollars in shipping costs and well see IF it can be repaired. Well, at this point anything else can fail, twenty-year-old speaker and all. I needed a quick fix to keep the sound, ANY sound going. I quickly purchased a set of bookshelf speakers from a well known reputable brand. I didnt expect the experience to match the Def Techs, but I expected a better experience than I had. Well, after several months I upgraded to a set of four Klipsch Reference line speakers. It was a vast improvement on first model I tried by a different company. I learned of the limitations of the Reference line models after a few months. My ears needed more. A little bit more research was needed... Enter a bigger budget and better perspective. I had acted in haste. Well, enter the Klipsch Reference Premier line. Im immediately impressed by these speakers. My sound is restored! The Klipsch slogan Keepers of The Sound is absolutely applicable when referring to the Reference Premier line. I will be gradually updating my entire speaker system to Klipsch RP.

> 3 dayThe RP-500Ms are Klipschs newest bookshelf refreshes. These are in between the smaller RP-400Ms and the bigger RP-600Ms. These speakers are for someone who wants great sounding speakers but dont want to pay an extra $100 for the RP-600Ms. These are definitely a step up in size and sound from the standard Reference series which have downgraded a bit from a few years ago. These are also bigger and stronger than the smaller RP-400Ms. Honestly, I thought these would be smaller and am extremely happy with my purchase as the RP-600Ms would be too big for my setup. I currently have these paired with a Denon AVR-X1400H and they sound incredible. For about $300, they are probably the most pleasing looking speakers with great sound. While there are some debates as to whether they provide the best sound, it comes down to you personally and I dont regret my purchase at all. Others might recommend some other speakers but for the price point, these speakers are just too good! The black finish in the front and the ebony sides look absolutely incredible. These are the best looking and probably best sounding speakers at this price. The sound quality is definitely an upgrade over a soundbar or tv speakers. While tvs and cheap headphones or soundbars deliver basic sound, these deliver the best sound. No more screeching or audio anomalies caused by trash speakers. If you want to step up from tv speakers or even the basic Klipsch Reference series, I really recommend these.
