> 24 hourEverything seemed to be decent quality except for the RCA cables. They have no tension on them so when you plug them in, they do not hold and fall out with ease. Now I’m going to buy rca cables (again) to make up for the poor quality cables included in this kit. Otherwise, kit isn’t bad. But considering you are buying a kit, you would want all components to work for you!

> 24 hourUsed this kit to install a amp for my 4 speakers in my car. The wire seems thicker than most 4 guage wire out there and seems to be great quality. It came with everything I needed and I dont have any complaints. Worked very good and Ive had it for about 4 months or so.

The brand name originally caused me to scroll by this product because I thought it was going to be some cheap knockoff, but after seeing undersized wires with oversized fuses from companies like Boss and Scosche, I saw that these were true AWG and even surpassed the standards. I know those brands aren’t the top names in car audio but I wouldnt expect them to cut corners like that. No need to buy pricier Kicker or RF kits with this quality kit. I also like how you can pick the power wire color. Only advice to knu would be to pick a better name.

The KCA-K4 Amplfier Installation Kit Includes:
- 18" 4 AWG Blue KCA Kable (CCA) Power Wire
- 3" 4 AWG Black KCA Kable (CCA) Ground Wire
- Inline fuse holder with 80A fuse
- 5 Meter Bassik Twisted Pair OFC RCA Cable
- 20 Feet Bassik 14 AWG CCA speaker wire
- 5 Meter Blue Remote / Turn one wire

How many watts can this amp kit handle? At KnuKonceptz, we do not use "watts" to rate our amp kits. This is a very inaccurate method to determine what the proper gauge wire required for your amp installation. Many amp manufactures do not represent the output of their product accurately in watts. Please refer to your amplifier"s fuse rating, this is a number a manufacture can not fake, well they could but it would put their product in harms way! Add up the fuses on the end of your amp (two 30A fuses = 60A total draw) If this number is under 80A, this kit will fit your application. If over 80A, a larger gauge wire would be required or use our Kolossus Flex 4 gauge amp installation kit.
Beware of "1600 Watt" amp kits that include a 50 or 60A fuse. Its physically impossible for these kits to support this load (refer to our comparison photo)
KCA 4 Gauge - Oversized for higher loads vs other CCA cables
Our Kolossus Copper Aluminum (KCA) series cable was designed specifically to be larger than the competition. Copper Clad Aluminum is less conductive than Oxygen Free Copper when comparing like sized conductors. CCA however is also much less expensive. So by increasing the area in our KCA cable, KnuKonceptz was able to achieve similar performance to OFC, but without the higher cost.
For this exact reason is why our cable is larger, to achieve similar performance, for less money. The graph below shows, based on area, our cable is at least 40% larger than comparable brands.

About KnuKonceptz KCA Power Wire and how it compares to other cables
- Using American Wire Gauge standards, the gauge of stranded wire is determined by the total area of the conductor.
- To calculate this you would take the area of each strand and add it together. This area, in square mm, then determines gauge.
- Diameter is not as critical with stranded wire, this is due to the tiny air gaps between each strand. Diameter may fluctuate with strand size and how tightly wound the rope of the cable is.
- The smaller the number, the larger the wire, until you reach zero or aught (0). From zero, you then have double aught (00), three aught (000) and so on.
- Based on AWG, the true gauge of this cable is #3, larger than traditional 4 gauge
- We"ve compared several popular 4 gauge amp kits from other manufactures. The above chart displays the manufacture and the calculated gauge based on area.
- All cables tested were labeled as 4 gauge. The X axis indicates gauge by area and where each cable"s measurement placed itself on the American Wire Gauge scale.
- Several brands barely reached the required area of 8 gauge.
