I expected it to come in a spool form, but it just came in a white box free wound and taped off, but that really wasnt a problem with me. they really give your moneys worth, planning on running my mids and highs with this wire via amp setup. owned the 14AWG size and the quality it perfect for any audio guy

> 24 hourWhoa...this is insanely good wire for the price. Flexible, easy to work with, material is easy strip, nice super high strand count of what appears to be true OFC. Upgraded from some near 20 year old Phoenix Gold premium wire, which is also high strand count OFC 12 Gauge like this (254 strands though instead of 294 like this), and which is no longer made. I hear a slight improvement with this new wire, which could be just due to the aging/degrading of the old wire. I hear a small increase in clarity/tightness of the bass and midrange, and the highs are a bit smoother and less harsh. None the less, this is absolutely superb wire for the money. I would think youd have to step up to some high end, much more expensive audiophile grade stuff like Audioquest to better this, and I wouldnt expect the difference to be very much. In short, best speaker wire for the money hands down. Outstanding product in every way.

> 24 hourI installed new cables for my HIFI stereo installation. This cable is of high quality, copper and insulation. The combination with gold plated banana connectors brings a clear improvement in the sound restitution. Before, I was wondering if it would worth to do it. I was not completely convinced about the importance of the loud speaker cables. Now, I can hear a significant changes in clarity of the sound, a big change in percussions attacks and orchestra tutti attacks. For some of them, I almost startled when I tested the installation.

Plain and Simple Specifications
- Wire type - CCA or OFC
These materials are commonly used, but not commonly stated when shopping online. Know what you are purchasing. Both metals are capable of performing up to their rated loads.
- American Wire Gauge
Wire gauge is crucial to powering your system correctly. Undersized cable will create unsafe conditions and may shorten your amplifier"s life.
True American Wire Gauge (AWG) Products
- Using American Wire Gauge standards, the gauge of stranded wire is determined by the total area of the conductor.
- To calculate this you would take the area of each strand and add it together. This area, in square mm, then determines gauge.
- Speaker Wire is often written as 12-2 or 12/2. This means 12 gauge x 2 conductor, both positive and negative signal are carried within one cable and are each 12 gauge.
- Diameter is not as critical with stranded wire, this is due to the tiny air gaps between each strand. Diameter may fluctuate with strand size and how tightly wound the rope of the cable is.
- The smaller the number, the larger the wire, until you reach zero or aught (0). Most speaker wire ranges from 10 to 16 gauge. 18 to 22 gauge is often much too thin for most Home Theater applications.
- Based on AWG, the true gauge of this cable is 12 Gauge
Oxygen Free Copper - The standard in audio
- Quality cables use quality materials. Oxygen Free Copper is copper of at least 4n purity. That means the conductor must be at least 99.99% copper.
- Copper speaker wire provides lower resistance than similar sized CCA cable. This means improved frequency response.
