Rubber washer is too soft which keep gap between this air gap and countertop

I was looking for this item to match a Kraus faucet. I was worried about finish color match. This product is perfect and sturdy.

Very sturdy high quality air gap. Way better than those found at hd lowes. you can see the difference and after using it a couple months the looks are great compared to the low end ones i use to get....does not stain like those.
