Kraus KAG-1BG Dishwasher Air Gap, Brushed Gold

In California we are required to us an on and the is not anything with style. But this worked fine.

Matches up perfectly with my Kraus faucet. The required air gap in my state for this item and does the trick.

This replaces a Kohler air gap. The fit is much better. The other was loose around the plastic connector tubing. This same with foam washer which passed the water leak test. Very happy with the finish. Look and quality of this piece. Haven’t heard of this brand and was hesitant. Good purchase.

Matches my faucet brushed good pretty well, not exact but looks good enough . Solid strong design. Looks expensive, high quality .

We are soooo happy we chose the Krauss pull down sink accessories. They are cool, sharp, and beautifully made. Big box stores simply did not have what we wanted.

Very sturdy high quality air gap. Way better than those found at hd lowes. you can see the difference and after using it a couple months the looks are great compared to the low end ones i use to get....does not stain like those.

My new quartz countertop is set on 5/8” plywood. The threads on the air gap are too short. It only comes in one size ? They need to make one a little bit taller to accommodate different depths of countertops.

Function - I ordered this to replace an old air gap that was leaking. The install is pretty simple and straightforward. I ran the dishwasher and no leaks. I also got a new sink and had to cut a hole for the air gap. I used a 1 1/4 inch diamond hole saw bit and the air gap fit perfectly in the hole (I saw other reviews saying it didn’t fit in theirs so I thought I’d throw some measurements here). Finish - I bought the stainless steel to match my stainless steel Glacier Bay faucet but it doesn’t match 100%. See attached picture. My faucet has a bit shinier of a finish. Perhaps I will purchase a Kraus faucet in the future to get the perfect match but it does the job for now.

Easy to install and looks great. It does the job of providing an suction vent. Its a little noisier than I expected, but not bad.
