Its a snug fit when the cable is in the case with the external drive, but it feels sturdy and secure.

I purchased this for a recent external hard drive purchase, but I like the feel. Its a pretty thick case for storage, has enough space for the USB cable, and I play to purchase another one for a backup drive that came with a cloth bag.

Designed for the 1GB , it is VERY tight on the 3GB unit I have (basically, double the thickness)

It holds a couple of cables, it zips, should be easy to throw in a bag when I need extra storage. I thought it was an SSD, when searching, this popped up, although its not what I wanted. For the price it will do the job.

Im extremely clumsy so I figured I needed to give My Passport External Hard Drive a safe home. I did happen to drop it in the case by accident shortly after and it definitely saved my hard drive. The sound of it falling was pretty muffled, which I would expect indicates the absorption of shock. My only issue is that the strap that comes with it is a bit too small and thin for my taste, but it works.
