LAMY LT52GR Bottle Ink, Green

I have used this ink primarily with a Lamy Safari with Extra Fine nib. While not waterproof, the ink dries quickly and does not smear for me as a left-handed writer. The bottle looks nice on my desk and the blotting paper is a great addition.

I have several Lamy pens and I use Lamy inks with them. Its a good quality product, and reasonably priced. I also like it comes with a built-in blotting paper roll which you can use to wipe off excess ink after filling your pen. What I didnt like is the way Amazon shipped it. It was sent in a plain manila padded folder. The ink was in a small square branded cardboard box, so it was guaranteed to produce a hump in the folder, which would take a lot of banging in shipment. Fortunately the bottle didnt break, but the branded cardboard box it was in was squashed and the box lid opened. The ink comes in a glass bottle, is moderately fragile, and if broken produces a large mess. Anything like this should have been shipped in a small shipping box with plastic popcorn or air-pillow plastic.

Excellent ink! The roll of blotter paper on the bottle makes it easy to do clean refills. The ink also writes very smoothly and the well in bottom of the bottle allows all the ink to be used.

Dont spill on your clothing. This ink sticks. I have the bad habit of leaving my pens in the wash, and this ink doesnt come out as easily as Id like. In fact, it really doesnt come out, even with persistent application of hairspray and fingernail polish remover. And if you put it in the dryer before trying to remove the ink, give it up.... But a pretty bottle, and thats worth something, right?

As advertised, I use this ink in my Lamy fountain pen with terrific results.

(Background) First of all, this is my second purchas and the first one was lost in delivery... Second of all, this product was said delayed and delivered later than expected. As u can see from the photo, the product does not seem brand new... Hope its only the box was damaged accidentally. The most bothering thing is that the volume of the ink is a lot less than it looks like. Almost entire bottom part of the ink bottle is actually the paper ribbon and its socket.

I was looking for the ink for my new Lamy pen and was debating whether to get this or the cartridges. I decided to play around and get the bottled ink. It works perfectly for what I needed.

Good blue ink and dries almost instantly. Useful for lefties like myself. Also has a cool spool of like tissue paper under it to clean off your pen.
