Here are my semi-coerced (but honest) thoughts: 1) Its big and somewhat heavy. This isnt really a downside, per se, but my young one truly does have trouble carrying it (even with the very welcome shoulder strap). 2) Big + Hefty = Sturdy Listen, as the above complaint is true, the byproduct is that the thing feels like a tank. Im much, much larger than the young one, and I can comfortably rip around on this thing and very much not feel like Im zooming around on a toy -- its a sturdy scooter. Ive had other adults zip around, jump off curbs, etc. too, and its *completely* fine. As in, no worries at all ― not even the hint of a worry. When the kids got penny boards for skating, I was certain I would break it by looking at it ― not so with this hefty thing. 3) Its hard/tricky to fold. This is a negative to be sure (my young ones cant fold it), but I also dont want it to fold when 6+ adults are jumping off curbs either, okay? So maybe its a draw? They key to folding it up is to lift the hefty thing up by the handlebars and then pull up the tab to release and hold it while you fold it. You can do it! Go for it. (And remember, feel free to really pull it hard ― you cant break it as far as I can tell). 4) I dont own other scooters. Im comparing this to nothing. I guess Im comparing it to kids bikes and penny boards and my expectations... but Its pretty great really does sum it up for me. Maybe theres something better out there, normally is, but this is pretty great. A kid can grow into it and still ride it in 30 years, and based on how its held up so far, I actually expect it to be usable as long as you can replace the wheels (havent checked, but it seems probable). Verdict: do it.

Purchased this scooter for a 9 yo old child. They seem to like it. Scooter comes already pre-assembled. The only issue I have with the scooter is the rear break light. The scooter doesnt come with it, you have to pay separately, and the scooter is designed to fit only a specific light. I dont even mind that but the light they sell is extremely cheap and poorly made. I had to return it immediately because the light didnt work out of the box. I wouldnt even mind the $20 price tag for the light if it was quality. Shame LaScoota...This rear light issue is hurting your brand, either redesign for a universal light or go with a better brand of light manufacturer.

We have purchased several scooters from LaScoota and our kids (2 years old to teens) have enjoyed them. They are smooth and innovative. I look forward to seeing their future designs!

Ok, had it about a month now. Got about 20 miles on it. Got it for an alternate to jogging and arthritic knees. Warning: first scooter for me since childhood. Cons: no suspension; with the polyurethane wheels, I feel every little bump and sidewalk crack. I thought the headset was loose but it turns out the folding lock mechanism (pic 2) has a little bit of front/back play, only noticeable when standing still. The downtube stop (pic3), just behind the front wheel was installed backwards with the countersunk hole in the back of the rubber spacer. Believe this was intentional to prevent complaints about the lock not releasing because properly installed, the stop should have a slight backward pressure on the downtube. To release the lock, push the handlebars forward and voila! Pros: plenty of room for my size 10 feet; glides very well; well made and holding up well so far; rear brake works fine when you need it; I dont fold it so have encountered no probs with the folding mechanism; also no probs with surface changes, bumps, etc., with large wheels. While it looks like the cons outweigh the pros, they are all minor and except for the suspension, all easily fixed. For the price, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

It met my expectations! I wanted a scooter that was easy to collapse and carry. In addition it has good suspension in front and back. Wheels r bigger than most push scooters so u can go a little faster and deck is low to the ground and longer than most scooters which is great for an adult rider. Brakes worked really well when I took it downhill. Suspension on back could b a little better, but still performed well. Handlebars r definitely better than many competitors. I would say great ride for the money!!!

My 13 year old son, who has a height of 5 ft 6 in and weigh 105 lb, loves his Lascoota Scooter! This is his first set of wheels, besides the kiddie tricycle he had when he was 3 yrs old--which he only rode less than 10 times. He has been riding it ever since he got it on Tuesday, May 12, 2020. So its been four days thus far. I even rode it too and I love it! I noticed that the lowest height setting is great for both my son and I--Im 5 ft 8 in and 137 lb. The adult Lascoota Scooter is a great scooter for even taller people. The weight limit is 220 lbs though, so Im not sure if you can exceed that, as my son and I are both underweight, and we havent even tried to attempt to test the weight limit. Now, the downside--which wasnt really a problem for me, but I still need to point it out just in case someone else comes across this same issue: *Box: When I received the scooter, the amazon box was open halfway. The scooter box was slightly torn. However, there was no damage to the scooter itself, except for a white line streak on the griptape. *Overall, the scooter is sturdy and has a good weight to it. The handles feel great--a great grip. *Scooter Handles: Out the box, the handles did not go in at all! I had to use a slotted screwdriver, aka flat head screwdriver, to slightly open the handlebar holder after removing the clamp, and then insert the handles one by one, while still holding the holder open with the screwdriver. I then screwed the clamp back on. Though this occurred, I was never going to fold the scooter or remove the handlebars afterwards, so I was fine with this. It also reassures me that the handles will never pop out by accident. *Scooter Deck: Out the box, the scooter griptape on the deck was slightly peeled of towards the ends. This resolved itself later. I guess it had to do with the shipping or something, but now its not an issue. Overall, I give this scooter five stars, because even though it started out a bit rocky out the box, there was no issue afterwards and I love seeing my son outdoors with a huge smile on his face. Did I mention the awesome big wheels! Oh yeah, one more thing, my son wears a size 10 1/2 in US men and there is still a bit of space left when he places his whole foot on it. So about a size 11 1/2 max would be a comfortable fit. I am definitely getting myself one too!

When you open the scooter and you see that metal plate that blocks the handle bars from being inserted - it’s a block to keep the handlebars out during shipment. Just remove it by pulling it straight out. If the scooter seems noisy, just remove the strap used to carry it. I replaced my bearings with REDS bearings to allow for further and faster travel. The scooter is lightweight, pretty sturdy, just gotta really tighten the bar to remove any shake from the equation. 4 stars because the wheels feel cheaper than expected and bearings were as good as Walmart. Expected for the price but definitely a good scooter for starters and casual ride and commute.

I use this scooter to get me around my college campus and I have to say, its better than any Razor scooter Ive used in the past. Its very smooth and easy to fold up. The instructions after unboxing it were easy.
