> 3 dayThis is a great set for older toddlers. The age says 18+months, but my 18 month old didnt really get it. That being said, its a super cute, well made toy. The pieces all stack together and are notched, so they fit. It moves in some very cool ways (that was the part my kiddo didnt really get) Its fun to stack up and my little one enjoyed knocking it down and the pieces were plenty durable enough to withstand that. As she gets older and starts to understand what the little truck can do, shes gonna like better, but for now, its still fun to build with.

Greater than one weekThis is an excellent learning toy and is very versatile in what can be built. It has several phrases and can identify letters, numbers, and pictures of various blocks. The sound can be adjusted to a high or low setting and it isnt a toy that has become annoying at all. Great for building vocabulary, both literally and figuratively. Also uses problem solving skills and role playing. At the time of this review the retail price was around $25 which is reasonable for the quality.

> 3 dayHe likes this because he is building with blocks like his big brother and he is learning. He can now tell me what each number is, I was surprised that just this toy would help him to learn so easily. The truck and blocks are well-made and colorful.

Greater than one weekMy almost three year old grandson loves vehicles and Legos (he knows a Chevy Impala when he sees one and can be forgiven when he mistakes a CR-V for a Honda Odyssey). He liked this just fine, but was not as excited as I expected. The truck worked right out of the box and being Lego-like putting them together was very easy. I worried that three year old fingers would not be able to put the round pieces in that make it talk, but he had no trouble at all putting them in or taking them out. Oddly, since most toys like this are too loud, this seemed a bit too quiet. granted, it was a room full of people, so I guess for normal play time this volume is just right. Theres a good variety of items and numbers that the machine says, and it worked literally right out of the box. Its a nice little teaching toy and I expect it will see a lot of playtime.

> 3 dayThe LeapFrog Fix-It Truck is a really neat building toy. The way that the individual blocks can be clicked into the reader unit and then it talks to the kid about the picture on the block is neat. And an older kid can have fun learning about how the notches on the top of the block are read by the unit. The blocks and truck itself can be configured in a bunch of different ways, including making a type of crane with the pictured blocks. The blocks are nicely colored, holding up well to significant kid abuse, and nicely sized for a kid who isnt quite ready for small-block Legos yet.

03-06-2025Great way to take blocks to a whole new level. This set adds more educational value than just basic building blocks. More fun, too.
