> 3 daySo this tool helped me repair 3 long LED sets that were completely out. It would have cost me about $75 to replace the sets so I decided to try this tool instead. With it, I was able to find and replace many bad LEDs in the sets so that they worked again. It took me about an hour per set. In the end, I ended up replacing 15 bulbs total. Heres the BIG BUT if youre thinking of buying this. Do you have plenty of LEDs lying around to replace the bad ones? This does not include replacement bulbs. Remember that LEDs are NOT universal. Every set seems to use a different shaped base on its bulbs. I used an x-acto Knife to reshape the bases of the LEDs I had lying around to fit in different sets. On 2 of my other sets, I gave up because the bases were badly corroded. This kit includes 2 replacements for corroded bases so after that what are you going to do? Also, in my case, even though I got the sets working, what happens when they fail again? Im out of bulbs and once they are on the house, Im not taking them back down to troubleshoot in the winter. The bulbs are all the same age so it stands to reason that there will be plenty more failing soon. After this season, I will be buying new sets on clearance. So the decision is yours. How old are your sets? Do you have the patience to troubleshoot? Do you have lots of spare bulbs? Are you sure its just a bulb issue and not corroded sockets? The tool works. Start halfway up the set and work your way down the line. It lights up what works and easily tests individual bulbs once you remove them. It comes with a 9V battery installed and ready to go. If you have lots of bulbs out, test one at a time using the tool crimping the wire until you start finding bad ones (start at the end closest to the plug. Good luck!

> 3 dayI wondered if I needed this tool before I bought it. I had 5 Christmas LED Nets and 2 LED strings that had lights out. I bought the tool and the strings were fixed in about 10 minutes each. The Nets took longer because they were made up of three strings each and two had multiple strings out. Some of the Nets also had multiple LEDs out and I was able to fix them all saving the cost of buying new Christmas lights. The tool was well worth the cost and I am happy with the quality and how well it works and the features it has. I used the wire connector and the LED tester. I did not need to use the fuse tester. I recommend this tool to anyone with Christmas lights that do not work.

Greater than one weekVery impressed with this product. I first thought it was a gimmick item, but the videos are clear and easy to understand, and they explain the products functionality. You do need to watch the video, and it will not only explain how the product works but provides you the knowledge on how the light sets function. After watching the video, it took me less than 10 minutes to fully diagnose and repair my prelit Christmas tree! I am a hero now!

> 3 dayA single strand of lights on our Balsam Hill prelit LED tree wouldn’t light when we setup our tree. The tree was purchased in Jan 2021. Using this keeper, we identified the bulb that needed replaced and had the full tree lit in 10 minutes. The clips were so useful!

> 3 dayI gave it 4 stars for value for money. However, as far as I know, theres nothing else out there, and this tool is allowing me to repair existing sets. The other problem I have is that I still have a lot of incandescent sets, and I have to spend the money all over again to do my incandescent sets ... (incandescent tester is a little less expensive, but still a little pricey). Maybe Ill breakdown and buy the incandescent tester next year.

> 3 dayDH just saved 3 sets of LED net lights that had lost a section of lights. Theres more trial & error than in tracking down the bad bulb in a string, as the lights in the nets were arranged with a logic that escaped us. We dealt with it by grabbing a silver metallic sharpie to mark the good lights as we went along. When you think youve identified the culprit, be sure to check both wires coming in/out of that light -- if it doesnt light up with either one, thats your bad boy. The remover tool at the end of this tool works great! But it could use some assist to hold the handles closed on the wire while you poke around, especially when working with net lights (like the doohicky that clicks into place to hold the nozzle of my garden hose in the on position. Squeezing the handles of the device so it pierces the wire takes a good bit of hand strength. The price seems high for what it is, but it quickly paid for itself -- Im pretty sure theres no other way we could have identified the bad bulbs and saved these net lights, and replacements arent cheap.

> 3 dayThis light tester saved 5 of my 6 strings of icicle lights! I didnt know how well this would work with icicle lights but it turns out it works great and is very easy to use. When I pulled my lights out this year 5 of the strings didnt fully light so I bought a couple more strings of lights. As I was hanging one of the old string of lights half of that string went out which now equaled 6 total strings that didnt work. I already had it on the house and didnt want to take it down so we decided to get this tester. I tested it out on one of the strings not on the house and BOOM right off the bat I fixed a string. I eventually got on the roof and fixed the string while it was still attached to the roof. Over all I was able to fix 5 of the 6 strings that didnt work. One string even had ALL of the lights out and I was able to fix it! The bulb tester works great and the bulb remover on the end is a finger saver! Soooo glad we bought this! Now Ive pulled all the working bulbs out of my string I couldnt fix and Im going to use those bulbs for replacements down the road. BUY BUY BUY this tester!

> 3 dayI have been putting up outside Christmas Lights for nearly 50 years. I was always frustrated with the testers for incandescent light strings as they were not accurate or reliable. I finally switched to LEDs 3 or 4 years ago. Knowing I would still have issues with string lighting, I purchased the Keeper along with my first LED string of lights. The LED Keeper has proven to be a Life saver. I wrap my lights in balls of 900 bulbs each. When I get them out of storage, I plug them in and can quickly see what balls need attention. I unroll to the bad section and the keep quickly finds the bad bulb. With the cost of LEDs still pretty steep, this testers has Saved me a Bunch.
