> 24 hourWe already have a ton of LEGO, but can you ever really have enough? Ive been building since I was a kid and now my kids build too. Were always looking to add more parts and this set comes with a good variety of parts, in good colors. Also, the larger Classic sets are usually one of the least expensive options for variety bulk parts, from a price-per-part perspective. New to LEGO or thinking about giving this set as a gift? I think this set would be good for someone just starting out with LEGO and wanting free build and/or someone whos not necessarily looking for specific kits and just wants lots of parts. The built-in sorting box is neat and may be useful if you dont already have a storage solution.

> 24 hourIf you are looking at the various Classic Lego sets and trying to decide between a medium size set like #11021 or this one, #11020, the largest of the Classic assortments, you should know that in the end you will never have all the parts you need. I can very easily recommend all of the Classic sets, but in the end, there is no perfect, do-it-all collection of bricks unless you actually work at Lego. In Denmark. One good way to distinguish between the sets is to look up the manuals for each on the Lego website (customer help section). You will be able to see what various suggested models to build, and while kids dont need to follow the directions, many will use them for inspiration. The manuals give you a good idea of the utility of each set (e.g., how many wheels are there? Or joint pieces?). Even though these are general brick collections, they have been curated to have certain strengths. This set comes with four manuals that organize builds by color: red, green, blue, and yellow. There are a number of very useful building plates. The models vary in scale from micro-mini figure size to almost Duplo size. There are no mini figures in the set. I actually think all of the Classic brick sets have special value, from the whimsical Space Mission set to the retro 90 Years of Play set. I absolutely would not feel compelled to buy the biggest one, but rather to match the set with the interests of the child. My feeling on the suggested builds on this set is that it is geared primarily toward cool little designs, not so much building things that kids are going to play with. These are ingenious little designs, from the hummingbird feeding from a flower, suspended by its beak, to a small, partly peeled banana. It is very much a build it, admire it, then break it down and put it away kind of box. The box, by the way, is sturdy cardboard with dividers to allow some amount of organization.

> 24 hourA very good starter kit for families getting into the LEGO game!! The kids loved having the LEGO bases to build their creations on. This box becomes a storage box with dividers to keep them organized. A must have for LEGO enthusiast’s!!

> 24 hourIts a BIIIIGGG set of Legos. This is the perfect set to let your imagination run rampant and wild as you literally build whatever you want to build with ALL the pieces. The set does come with instructions for building maybe 50 animals and such but I think its meant more as a inspiration than anything. It comes in quite a big box and I would recommend being gentle with the box, at least while opening it, as the box does double as an organizer and a great way to stow all the loose pieces. This is probably one of the most cleverly designed Lego boxes Ive seen and I appreciate their innovation. This is honestly one of the best and fun Lego sets for anyone looking to build using their imaginations. The price is high but I highly recommend!

> 24 hourIf you are looking for a great building set of legos I would highly recommend this classic set. It has everything you need to have a great base set of all the Lego pieces to build whatever creative idea comes to mind. I love Legos and have some in my classroom, but this building set really jump started an amazing bin of Legos that my elementary kids absolutely love. There are a ton of colors to choose from, each separated into their own bags. Each bag is actually several builds that you can do, there are wonderful instruction books that are full of step by step instructions for building cars, plants, animals and buildings. My son and I had a blast going through each bag and making things in each color set. Overall, I can’t say enough good things about this classic Lego set. It has a ton of classic and unique pieces to build with. It has every color you could want. And it has five instruction books full of great ideas for kids to build. This keeps my kids building for hours, I really like everything about it!
