LEGO Creator 3 in 1 Townhouse Pet Shop & Café 31097 Toy Store Building Set with Bank, Town Playset with a Toy Tram, Animal Figures and Minifigures (969 Pieces)

I love it!

We LOVE Lego in our house and this set is a great example of why. So many positives so Ill just get right into it. * 3 Builds. There are 3 official builds (as this is part of the 3-in-1 Creator series) with the main build being the corner apartment/shop build. The other two are a taller/wider 3 story apartment building and a row/strip mall style of shops with a trolley. * Main build. The corner shop is comprised of a 2 story and a 3-story building joined at a corner by a small outdoor park with a hot dog cart. The first floor are shops while the upper floors are apartments with patios and terraces. Its really quite fun. There are also a number of animals (what would you expect with a Pet Shop right?) that are not molded minifigures but built out of blocks. These include a dog, a toucan, a bird, and a mouse. Ok, there is a molded fish included for the aquarium. * Colors are wonderful and typical Creator series bright and fun. I love the pale yellows in the second level apartment and the red of shades on the other building. * Modular. The main build is can connect to the other Creator series buildings to create elaborate street scenes. * Difficulty. All very straightforward with little balancing or tricky areas. Possibly simple and could be seen as a negative I suppose but I enjoyed the build. Minifigs. The detail of the minifigs these days is just wonderful with lots of detail in the short graphics and accessories. That said, the minifigs here are all rather standard, there is a little girl, an old man and a middle aged man. No real accessories outside of the hair and a baseball cap. * Real buildings? No there isnt backing to the buildings here but they still feel like real buildings as opposed to the very shallow facades that Lego is putting out these days in many of their buildings. * If I had any niggles, it would have been a detail or two more in the upper apartments, but it is a very small issue with an overwhelmingly fun set. Summary. I love this set. The colors, the design details, the interconnectivity, and the rebuild-ability. Is it perfect? No, but the issues I have are very minor and I can easily and heartily recommend this set to anyone who likes the Creator buildings series.

Has not been put together yet is a Christmas present He will love it and I do too. Will keep him busy for a while. Very nice item. Update: He put it together a day or 2 after Christmas. He did it all by himself and took about 6 or 7 hours. It was bigger than I thought it would be but looked really nice. He was 7 years old. It was well worth the money. Sorry I dont have a photo or video.

Kids of all ages will love constructing and playing with all these shops, which come with all sorts of fun tiny accessories such as a croissant, dog bones, hot dogs and a cash register. Hours of entertainment guaranteed!

Got this set for my 9-year old - my son loved it as did I. Lots of little details in the pet shop, cafe, hot dog stand, etc. It will be a well come addition to our Lego City empire. As always, Lego creativity delivers!

The LEGO Creator Townhouse Pet Shop & Cafe set is so fun and the instruction booklet is huge! My students dug into this set immediately when I received the package and opened it! I have a LEGO station set up in our library and students sit and build daily during lunch and before school! I am happy that LEGO has such a large variety of sets so that every LEGO creator is happy!

As you would expect from LEGO, this is an excellent quality set. Instructions are easy to follow, bricks are flawless, everything fits perfectly, and the finished product looks excellent.
