LEGO Creator 3 in 1 Townhouse Pet Shop & Café 31097 Toy Store Building Set with Bank, Town Playset with a Toy Tram, Animal Figures and Minifigures (969 Pieces)

I just did this Lego set with my 8 year daughter and she loves it. It was very easy to assemble. I just wish it had more pieces to finish the last building but still super cute.

IT WAS EASY TO PUT TOGETHER

Pet shop! The kids love this. I love the 3 story design. So many options to experiment with. There are so many many pieces, almost 1,000! This is hours and hours of fun in this box! I bought this one and another city Lego set for my nieces who love legos. However when this arrived my two adult brothers got so excited to see these sets that they each took one to be kept at their houses. They promise to let the kids use it when they visit them of course. But by the shine in their eyes to see the Legos I’m doubting others will be able to play with them. Great kid toy and grown up toy!

This set is essentially 12 studs deep with a narrow sidewalk. I hope this becomes a long term standard for smaller LEGO buildings. The default method for building the main option of the three is to have the two buildings face different streets on a corner. I made a very small modification so they both faced the same street to better fit in the space I had available. The outer front walls are intricate and look very nice. The “dollhouse style” construction without a back wall does not bother me for a building of this size and cost. It fits well in a row with the Townhouse Toy Store set. The inside detail is good given the limited space. I did add a small number of additional pieces including more foliage both inside and out even though it wasn’t really necessary. There are a good number of parts for the money and this is significantly less expensive than a Creator Expert Modular building. I ordered a second set to be delivered today to increase the length of the row by building one of the other two options. Together with the Townhouse Toy Store, I should have a nice row of six buildings on my block for the price of a lower end Creator Expert Modular set with two buildings. The more expensive set would have taller and deeper buildings. It seems like a good trade-off to me.

I always wanted to do an HO Scale Model Train town but my Dad and I could never figure out how to start one so instead I decided to do a Lego town and now my Lego town work in progress the mini figs can buy a pet.

my boyfriend is a big lego guy. I got this set so we can do it together- I think he had a lot of fun. Felt like a little kid again.

The bestcthing about LEGO is the fun of following the kit plan or just being creative. Perfect for future engineers in training. Great for a family a activity.
