Nice piece, well made and a lot of detail. Lots to see and play with. Easy enough for a kid to assemble, but still challenging.

My favorite set. This is not a starter set, it has great instructions and many pieces but is not a proper set for a beginner. I purchased this set for an intermediate builder and it went together perfectly. The value for money is high as far as Lego goes when using the 10 cents per block average, it came to less than 8 cents per piece at Christmas time during a sale. Would gladly purchase again, I usually buy from Lego store but it was sold out there and was a slightly lower price due to Black Friday.

This set is essentially 12 studs deep with a narrow sidewalk. I hope this becomes a long term standard for smaller LEGO buildings. The default method for building the main option of the three is to have the two buildings face different streets on a corner. I made a very small modification so they both faced the same street to better fit in the space I had available. The outer front walls are intricate and look very nice. The “dollhouse style” construction without a back wall does not bother me for a building of this size and cost. It fits well in a row with the Townhouse Toy Store set. The inside detail is good given the limited space. I did add a small number of additional pieces including more foliage both inside and out even though it wasn’t really necessary. There are a good number of parts for the money and this is significantly less expensive than a Creator Expert Modular building. I ordered a second set to be delivered today to increase the length of the row by building one of the other two options. Together with the Townhouse Toy Store, I should have a nice row of six buildings on my block for the price of a lower end Creator Expert Modular set with two buildings. The more expensive set would have taller and deeper buildings. It seems like a good trade-off to me.

The new LEGO toys are magnificent! Can be played with by boys and girls! Hours of fun!

The box came crushed because it did not have an outer box. Unfortunately, I did not have time to return it since I needed it for a birthday present for my grandson.

When I was a kid, Legos were things you assembled and reassembled into different objects. These days, most Legos are a set that gets put together once and left as is. I love that these show how to make three different objects with the same set. It it a great blend of Legos as they used to be with Lego sets as they are today.

Missing pieces. Cant tell until you get to the last bag to figure it out. My advice, go directly to Lego.
