My husband bought this for me for Christmas. As I collect Batman stuff. He put it together for me, as I dont have patience to. He really enjoys putting them together. It is really large, with 3306 pieces. Nothing to dislike about it on my end at all

The LEGO DC Batman 1989 Batmobile is quite an impressive set. The finished car measures nearly 2-feet long. There is a keen attention to detail; big rubber tires, a slide-open, detailed cockpit, pop-up guns, and a rotating display stand. Three mini-figures are included: Batman, Joker, and Vicki Vale with accessories. This set has a thick manual that gives lots of interesting information about the car, and design. There are 26 bags of parts, so it is a pretty complex build meant for adults, or older kids with patience. It took my husband and grandson multiple nights to build. The 1989 version Batmobile is a great looking display piece, not really meant for kids to play with.

This is a fantastic LEGO. Quality is, of course, exceptional. The detail though is amazing. It has so many little features that you really have to build it to believe it. It has a working gas pedal, shifter, handbrake, rising guns. It looks exceptional when finished. Building is a bit harder than a standard LEGO. My 9 year old made a few mistakes building that I had to go in and fix before he could go on. He normally doesnt struggle with these builds, so I was surprised by the challenge this presented.

I enjoyed putting this together and it looks great. Only thing with ALL Lego models is dusting. They are hard to keep clean. But, this circa 80s Batmobile is at my office and gets a lot of compliments. We are all kids at heart.

This thing is a BEAST, in a good way. Added a light kit with a remote control and it has a built in speaker that plays the 1989 Batman theme. I’m going to buy a low profile rotating base next. In regards to the kit, 24 bags containing almost 3400 bricks, nice instruction book. It arrived missing bag #15 but LEGO was kind enough to send it out quickly, no questions asked. It arrived in a few days, way ahead of the time I needed it. I averaged assembling or going through 3 bags per day, taking my time, doing it right. Not recommended for kids under 16, for adults without patience, or anyone who hasn’t yet built a large LEGO kit of 2000+ pieces. Practice on a smaller kit before attempting this one. Price was average compared to kits of this size.

Far and away the most impressive and difficult lego model Ive ever attempted. But in the end completely worth it. Ive assembled the smaller batmobile that was only 300 pieces and with this thing sitting @ 3,306 pieces it seemed pretty daunting. However I was committed. I will admit it took longer than I had anticipated but the whole experience was enjoyable and any mistakes I made were easily fixed (hey its legos) Im actually a little sad Im done to be honest. Now Im on the hunt for the next large lego set. Here are my pros and cons for the set & build Pros -Massive set with massive size (model nearly 2 feet long) -Awesome detail and function (machine guns pop up and cockpit slides open, also steering wheel works) -Huge time sink! Great for these Boring Coronavirus days off. -Challenging and rewarding Cons -Its large so you need a good amount of space to show it off -Takes a long time to build also box recommends for people 16+. Probably not best for the young ones -LEGOS everywhere. Kitchen table was compromised for days, irritating the wife to no end. But I didnt want to disturb the holy art of lego building by moving it. -Did I mention legos everywhere? Yea...well yes there are legos everywhere. Dont forget where you put a piece or you will experience a new dimension of insanity looking for a small black lego (FYI they are all black and small) All in all its expensive, but worth every penny for the amount of detail and pieces you get. Heck in an apocalypse I could probably disassemble it and build a rocket ship to get me out of here if need be. Needless to say you wont be disappointed!
