LEGO DC Batman 1989 Batmobile 76139 Building Kit (3,306 Pieces)

This is a very complex set. It took me about 20 hours to put together, but it was worth it once I completed the build.

I enjoyed putting this together and it looks great. Only thing with ALL Lego models is dusting. They are hard to keep clean. But, this circa 80s Batmobile is at my office and gets a lot of compliments. We are all kids at heart.

3306 pieces, instructions of 429 pages. A large box and you know that youre in for a treat. This 1989 Batmobile doesnt disappoint, in both the fun of construction and the looks of the finished product. Definitely a lot of complexity, under the hood so to speak, in that most of what youre constructing isnt even visible from the outside of the vehicle itself. Lift it, however, and youll know that its there. Although not something that youre going to roll around (considering that it sits atop a circular display), the vehicle is quite weighty and solid once its been completed. My only complaints were that the thing is a fingerprint magnet and most of the parts intended to be moveable werent all that movable. For example, there are hidden machine guns that supposedly will raise when a wheel is turned on the exterior of the rear of the vehicle but they wouldnt. Also the steering wheel only made the front wheels move very slightly. Nevertheless, this didnt detract from the finished product since its made for viewing, not playing. The only previous LEGO vehicle that I had assembled was the Range Rover and while that one was great, I found this one to be even better. And unlike that one, here there we no missing pieces!

Bought this for hubby for his birthday and he absolutely loves it! He thoroughly enjoyed putting it together. Its very detailed and looks amazing in his mancave!

This was a very fun, challenging build. Front wheels turn, machine guns rise and lower, cockpit slides open. and overall looks very cool. Much bigger than I thought it would be, measures about 18-inches long. Bigger than any other Lego vehicle out currently. The all black can make it difficult to find the pieces you need but its worth it in the end because it looks so cool.

I have been a long time fan of LEGO and have more of the Big sets than I can count. This however has been a complete nightmare. Called LEGO after the first bag was missing bricks and after a week I got the pieces. Got the first bag complete and onto the second bag where I soon discovered it was missing bricks from the second bag as well. I am currently on hold with LEGO as I have been for about 20 minutes without my call even being answered just a message about how busy The LEGO Experts are trying to sort out other issues. I hung up after the first call not being answered after 25 minutes. This is completely uncalled for as LEGO is an international corporation. I have completed many of the large sets and never had a problem. I guess this is making up for all of that. Not really sure if I will ever purchase another LEGO set again. This is NOT good business. Shame on you #LEGO.

Havent assembled yet .well satisfied with it.

I started this review a long time ago, but just finished it. This set is amazing! This set is about 23 inches longe (under 2 feet) and this thing is pretty massive. This is actually my very first lego set that was over $100 dollars and Im pretty satisfied. The building experience isnt much more satisfying than building smaller sets except you have more steps to build it. When this set comes together, about halfway, you start to see the size of it. This only took me probably over 10 hours to complete over like 3 days, but that includes stalls. I also bought the Lego grand piano too since I love playing piano. One personal complaint: I dont know if this was a coincident, but somewhere close to the end of the build 2 light gray 2x2 curved-slope must have detached from somewhere in the inside or underneath the vehicle. This wasnt a major problem since the inside wont really be noticeable and doesnt matter as much. I didnt stress over it, I was just very confused, but didnt bother worrying about where it came from. I would recommend this set!! Cant believe Amazon is selling it so high, now.

Bought it for my Godson. He spent days putting it together. He loves it.
