Best gift of the season. LEGO and Harry Potter are a match made in heaven. My 9 year old grandson grabbed this gift very first to play with Christmas morning. He loved every detail and talked about it the whole time he was building it. This is exactly as the story is depicted in the books. Lots of books and crannys with tiny details that make it so magical!

LEGO is releasing a series of new sets for Harry Potter fans. The Whomping Willow scene is right out of the Chamber of Secrets, and includes the Ford (with working trunk!), part of the castle (potions classroom, part of Gryffindor dorms, and the owlery), 6 minifigs: Harry, Hermione, Ron, Seamus, Mr Filch and Professor (holding a potion), plus Hedwig. Combining with the newly released minifig mystery grab, Crookshanks and Scabbers can be added. The Whomping Willow actually moves and parts spin off. Is it intentional? I think so but am not sure. It also can be combined with 75954 (the Great Hall) for more of the castle. This release has unique wands for the figures (with a spare for each) and some other cool accessories: potions, cauldrons, suitcases, wands, candles, a lantern for Filch, a Daily Prophet, a broom, and 2 inkpots with a quill. And yes, the Whomping Willow is designed to hold the Ford! At almost 800 pieces, it does take some time to complete and there are a few tricky bits. All in all, it is a lot of fun to put together, especially for those who like the Potter universe.
