> 24 hourMy 10-year-old put this nearly 1000 piece set together over the course of a day. He is excited to have 9 Lego people included. He was also excited about the details this set has such as potion jars, a telephone booth, hidden chambers the characters can go thru and magic wands. Each room is full of details. The set can be built two ways (3 rooms tall with two towers, or 2 rooms tall with three towers. The building instructions were easy for my son to follow. The set is sturdy and well designed. This would make a great present for any Harry Potter fan.

> 24 hourMy daughter is 10. She just finished watching all of the Harry Potter movies, so I know she will be excited to get this Ministry of Magic LEGO set for Christmas. I think the price is a bit high considering it only contains 990 pieces, but LEGO always seems to mark up the sets that are associated with popular movies. Im sure my daughter will have fun putting this together on Christmas morning.

> 24 hourAnother winner from LEGO. My 8 year old nephew loves this set so much because he’s a big Harry Potter fan. Just like your typical LEGO quality with easy to follow instructions. Excellent gift for your LEGO and Harry Potter fans out there. Super fun set. Highly recommended.

> 24 hourMy 9 year old is a huge LEGO fan and just starting to get into the Harry Potter series. My Mother (60+) is a big Harry Potter fan and this set amazed all of us. I love the amount of detail the set had. The 9 minifigures are great and my kid loves sets that come with more than 2 so he was very pleased getting 9. This is also one of the first sets I have seen that is modular and you can build it / display it as either a big tower or side by side (just look at the pictures and it will make sense). Kiddo took his time building it and admiring each little section and this took him about 3 hours and he had a blast, so definitely worth the $$ in my opinion!

> 24 hourThe LEGO Harry Potter is super fun and cool, I got it for my son and he loved it, hes a fan of Legos and building things and he also likes Harry Potter. He likes challenging Legos with lots of pieces, this didnt had that many like he likes but he still had so much fun and was entertained for a very long time. I wouldnt say is easy to build since thats the point to have a little bit of struggle building it, it comes with a building sheet to help build the Legos if you need help. This makes a very good gift for a kid, this helps their imagination, fine motor skills and you can keep them entertained building instead of being on screen for a long time, and the best part, is fun!

> 24 hourIm not the Harry Potter nerd of the family; so I let my wife build this set. She doesnt build Lego sets too often, but she didnt find it overly difficult. She said it was simple but a bit repetitious. There was a certain character she said that she hated was included and that any true Harry Potter fan would understand. The whole build took her about five hours. Each section had a similar structure, but were interesting in how they set up different scenes and had different accessories for each office/room. My wife thought the whole thing was cool how it fits together and how you can switch the layout and rearrange the rooms easily. She especially had fun using the fireplace trapdoor to disappear figures. I think there was that certain one that she made permanently disappear. Overall, I think this was a great set for a Harry Potter fan of any age. It comes with a fair amount of play and a good number of figures for a set at this price point.

> 24 hourThis is a nice LEGO set, as expected, and it’s priced comparatively lower than other sets that I’ve gotten recently based on piece count. It’s not a difficult build, so it’s suitable for younger builders. The minifig assortment is nice, and I hadn’t expected some details, like many different colored wands. That was a nice little touch. The buildings are kind of repetitive. It would have been nice to have more variation on the exteriors, but it looks nice when assembled. The moving features are pretty neat. This is a great kit for any Potter fan, and it would make a great gift. Each of the rooms are modular and are lightly affixed together, so you can mix and match the layout.

> 24 hourWere fans of Lego and Harry Potter (we have several other previous sets). So I was excited to add the Ministry of magic to the collection. The instructions can be used to build it as a two or three story building. While the three story is more movie accurate, its more stable and easier to play with as a two story building. Im surprised this set is almost 1,000 pieces- it really feels like a smaller set with not much going on. Compared to other Potter buildings (like Diagon Alley and Hogwarts), it feels like Lego really provided the bare minimum for the Ministry. The best part of the set are the minifigures, a few of which were new to us, including the patronus.

> 24 hourThis is a nice LEGO Harry Potter set, particularly due to its modular approach. I find modular sets to be easy to manage and simpler to put together. Each module has an interesting interior to it and through that a bit of personality each time. I set aside time to put a module together each day and it felt pretty nice having a clear cut stopping point and sense of achievement each time!

> 24 hourLEGOs are always impressing me with each new set. As the years go, the LEGO engineers are always improving each set and creating new and better ones to build and play. Nearly 11 years since the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, we finally have a set of the Ministry of Magic. With 990 pieces, it was easy for me and my two kids to get overwhelmed with. Building it was pretty straight forward but the base is not wide enough for stability. Instead of creating it as a three story building, you are given extra pieces to make it a two story set instead. The included characters include the original trio of friends (with an additional face to use when under the Polyjuice charm), Dolores Umbridge, Mr Weasley, Pius Thicknesse, Corban Yaxley, Reg and Mary Cattermole, and a Dementor.
