LEGO Hogwarts™ Express

As advertised

I got this set for my kids thinking Id follow instructions online to motorize it with LEGO Power Functions. As it turns out, its a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. I have it mostly working but not nearly as well as I had hoped.

They box is severely damaged and is a horrible gift for someone.

Reason for the four stars, the set does not include instructions for motorized train. There are several ways, but a motorized set would have been nice. Lego needs to put out more trains. The “Big Boy would be a great set. Of all the Harry Potter trains, this is the best yet for accurate style. A second passenger would be nice.

Trains are my sons passion. Hes been infatuated with it since he was a child. Unfortunately, I was not able to purchase Harry Potter trains for him in the past. The used trains were even more expensive than the original since there appears to be a robust aftermarket. I was able to get this set and hes not disappointed. The platform seems out of place and is not as nice of a background than previous sets. But you get the three main characters and a detailed dementor. The train is detailed and doesnt fall apart. This is a set worth having
