> 3 dayWhen selling an expensive Lego set geared towards adult collectors, please do not put a sticker that ruins the box when removing it directly on the front of it!!! Item itself was fine, star was lost for the box.

Greater than one weekThis is quite possibly my favorite LEGO kit ever! The scale and functionality is awesome. Ive had a couple issues with certain joints not holding together (I think they couldve come up with a stronger join for his waist, especially), but overall Im very pleased with this kit. Definitely worth it (and yes, he really transforms)! Oh, I also recommend leaving aside the single piece that holds his fingers together, so that they articulate individually.

Greater than one weekAs a huge transformer fan, my almost adult son was thrilled. The only complaint was there were a lot of big pieces so it took little time to build.

> 3 dayThis set is wonderful. I enjoyed building it. I would love to give it five stars. However, it can be challenging to transform Optimus from robot to truck without several pieces coming off. The axe attachment also comes apart fairly easily. So I had to knock off a star for those shortcomings. Certainly not a deal breaker since the model is intended to be put on display and not actively played with like a toy. A must buy for serious LEGO and transformer fans.

> 3 dayThis was a gift for my husband and he loves it. As is typical of Lego, some of the parts are only held together precariously, so actually transforming it without pieces breaking off isnt really possible. We had to put it up high because even touching it makes it break. It looks really cool, though!

> 3 dayI want to say up front, this was obviously made for the fans. The extras like the energy cube and the swappable belt piece prove that right away. And it actually does transform! Now, the drawbacks. I was missing a piece, but there ended up being a backup piece in a later bag that was close enough for now. Additionally, the joints are not super stable or robust. I blame this on the transforming abilities and the way the midsection especially has to bend and shift between forms, but right where you want to pick him up is exactly where hes weakest. Also, the build instructions were unclear enough that at several points I had to tear down and fix things I thought were correct but later ended up being wrong. It also continues the general flaw of many LEGO sets where it clearly has you building up using many smaller pieces where a single larger or more standard piece would have served better. It feels like an attempt to inflate the piece count for marketing without adding anything to the build itself. But LEGO sets do that all the time, its not unique or even excessive to Optimus here. Overall I love him, but I would definitely put his overall quality below that of the Voltron set.

> 3 dayThis was a fun build for me mostly because I was an 80s kid. The Lego is more fragile than I like but over all it is a quality build. Much like the DeLorean from back to the future, this is a must have for a retro 80s collection.
