Big fan. Needed to add to my collection. HOWEVER ITS LUCKY IM NOT ONE TO COLLECT THE BOXES TO DISPLAY. SEE THE PHOTO. Must improve. Just put it in another box and add protection.

There was missing pieces, not worth buying

This was fun to build. Because of the many hinges, swivels, etc. it is delicate to build ad tends to pop apart when transformed. After it was completed, I glued the areas that kept popping apart. By gluing the bricks that hold the hinges, it can be transformed more easily without popping apart.

My boyfriend is a pretty big Transformers and Lego’s fan, so being able to combine them into one gift… he was ecstatic. Product arrived in perfect condition with All the pieces present. The actual assembly was not too difficult and for a Lego piece it transformed great. Plus the price is hard to beat (all other places were more expensive than on Amazon). Great gift!

This seems like the greatest idea that Lego has come up with: a Transformer model that actual transforms! Unfortunately, there is a huge engineering problem that is overlooked. Anytime you try to transform the model, no matter how careful you are the parts start to pop-off. I have to look at the instruction book every time so I know when a part pops off where to put it back. My Optimus Prime Lego will probably be permanently displayed in robot format as transforming it is more frustration than it is worth. Pros: - Looks like Optimus Primer from Transformers. - Instruction book includes cool facts about Optimus Prime. - Lego designer originally worked for Hasbro and is an expert on all things Transformers. - Like all Lego models, a real attention to authenticity can be clearly seen. - Fun to build. Cons: - Very fragile and falls apart easily. - Rotating joints pop-out easily or are mounted to poor foundations that come apart easily. - Semi-truck form makes the model even more fragile than when in robot form.

Such a great quality set! My 8 year old took 3 days and built it by himself. He loved it and is so proud that he did it!

We bought this for my sons birthday. He loves legos and transformers. He is a teenager but is still in love with legos, he is also a collector and the way that Amazon packaged this is incredible. The Lego box was packaged inside a very sturdy box and then boxed again in an Amazon box with those bag cushions. They took real care of packaging it. My son of course keeps the Lego box it comes in, so it was very nice that Amazon packaged it so carefully. We live in Alaska, so I wasn’t expecting the box to be so perfect out of the Amazon box lol.

its legos and optimus prime, once u get it together be careful transforming, kinda fell apart on my wife and now she’s worried bout having to backtrack to get it together cuse pieces went everywhere lol

This set is wonderful. I enjoyed building it. I would love to give it five stars. However, it can be challenging to transform Optimus from robot to truck without several pieces coming off. The axe attachment also comes apart fairly easily. So I had to knock off a star for those shortcomings. Certainly not a deal breaker since the model is intended to be put on display and not actively played with like a toy. A must buy for serious LEGO and transformer fans.
