> 3 dayFor 2017 it was either the Saturn V Rocket or the Ninjago Destinys Bounty, but this Voltron is easily my 2018 favorite set. Before this my favorite was probably the ship in the bottle for just being unique. How can anything compare to Voltron made of Lego that transforms? An off-brand made brick Transformers a couple years back. I hated them. They didnt transform! You had to build the set as the robot or the vehicle and then rebuild to transform. That is horrible! Its so awesome that this transforms. It takes a minute longer than regular Voltron toys, but its very easy to transform. Ive shown quite a few people this set and theyve all been impressed with the Voltron robot. Then their eyes have bugged out when I showed them it transforms. It takes a lot more work to design a transforming Lego set. Its huge. Its bigger than the original Voltron toys! For Lego, its detailed. The lions look great separate and combined. The four appendage lions are very similar, but they each have their own personality too. It was also a lot of fun to build. The instructions are great. I love how all four lions can be built separately and in different sessions. You get sixteen bags of Lego with each lion build in separate bags. My kids and I built them together and each of them built a lion with my help. It is better to display than to play with. There is limited articulation especially in combined form. The arms have pretty good articulation (whole arm turns, elbow bends, and wrist moves). There is no twist except in the wrist. The legs have no articulation. I believe that is the price you have to pay for a Lego Voltron that stands as sturdy as this. Since I want to display it on a shelf, I prefer sturdy legs. I just want to be clear so its not a disappointment to you. It should make you sad because its still very impressive. The individual lions are more articulate, too. Its a great set. It will be remembered for a long time. I cant think of an official set that does something as cool as Voltron transforming. The closest I can think of is the unofficial Sisyphus build. Voltron is an enjoyable build. Since it can transform, its really cool to display and show off. I totally suggest this!

> 3 dayMy grandson loves Legos and he wanted Voltron to take off to college with him. Since he graduated Suma Cum Laude, I thought he deserved it and I bought it for him.

> 3 dayYou have to fight him. He needs to build more paths and SeMun/Pyramids. If you listen to him in this Blue Millennial, hes just going to put you on a terminal road and burn down the house labeled useless. Why do you listen to him?

> 3 dayI grew up in the 80’s with Saturday morning cartoons, watching Voltron on TV. Upon seeing this at the LEGO store, it automatically flooded me with childhood memories. I bought this not only due to the reminiscent nature but to spend time with my children. At first, it seemed a bit daunting but the instructions were relatively easy to follow. All-in-all, it probably took 4 hours to build. I think I’m going to have to reclaim this from my kids and put it on a shelf in my office.

08-06-2025My husband was thrilled with this. It took a few days to build working a little bit every day, but it was not terribly difficult, and he was impressed with the level of detail incorporated into the design.

> 3 dayWeve done three of the lions already and are almost done with the fourth. Its quite a lot of pieces, but they separate out the books and bags nicely into each individual lions, so Ive been building it in 30-minute chunks with my 5- and 8-year old. Theyre too young to know about Voltron, but I had such fond memories of the cartoon growing up that I bought the set for myself!
