> 3 dayFirst things first, Voltron is HUGE. Its perfect for display if you have the space for him. It took me like 6 hours to put it together, so its not recommended for smaller kids.

> 3 dayYou have to fight him. He needs to build more paths and SeMun/Pyramids. If you listen to him in this Blue Millennial, hes just going to put you on a terminal road and burn down the house labeled useless. Why do you listen to him?

> 3 dayWithout question, I absolutely recommend this set. Whether you are a Voltron fan or not, it is outstanding. I bought this set directly from LEGO on launch day back in July, and Im extremely happy with it. Ive had it for over three months, and I still get a massive kick out of it. I got it during the week and built one lion every night after work, so it took almost a week to finish. If you sit down and do it, you could get it done in a day. Like most LEGO sets, at least the large ones, it comes with numbered bags that are referenced by the instruction books. Yes, books...plural. There are six instruction books, one for each of the five lions, and one for the final Voltron pieces and assembly. Pretty awesome, if you ask me. They really made it easy to put this together (like almost every set of theirs), and that separation of the build made it especially easy for me to do it one chunk at a time. The build starts with the yellow lion, which I have to say is my favorite one because of the coloring. The remaining lions have some differences, but it gets a little bit repetitive in the build in the first four lions. Thankfully, there are some differences, and the colors are all different. The fifth (black) lion is significantly different, as it forms the trunk and head of Voltron and is more massive and rigid than the other four that form the arms and legs. My very first impression, starting with the build of the yellow lion, was the vibrant colors. Im 46, and those colors brought me back to my very first LEGO sets as a kid. Lately, Ive been building some of the UCS Star Wars sets, and the Saturn IV (shown in the pictures for a size reference, as its a meter tall). Those sets are far less colorful. Very cool sets :), yes, but less colorful. This set just brought me back in time to those simpler years, and I love the colors. The four smaller lions have legs and feet that move pretty easily, as well as their tails and heads/mouths. They offer some good playability for younger LEGO fans. The black lion also plays well, but it has less moving parts because its meant to be more structural sound when put into Voltron form. As for the Voltron form - awesome. Just plain awesome. It looks fantastic, and at over 18 tall, its an impressive site. It is pretty rigid, though, so its not really for younger kids to play with. They can, but its more suited for being a display, IMO. Its one heck of a display, though! I admit - I hate stickers in LEGO sets. Luckily, this only had five stickers in the whole thing, and they are the numbers 1 through 5 that go on to the lions. You dont need to apply them, but Im a stickler for following instructions, and they werent difficult to apply. There are some nice videos of this set (and many LEGO sets) on YouTube if you want to check it out before buying. If you didnt know, you can become a LEGO VIP member on their website for free, and that sometimes gets you early access to new sets before the general public can buy them. Thats how I was able to order this a week before the official launch. Again, its totally free to become a VIP member. Ive always had great luck in ordering from LEGO in terms of prompt shipping and having everything show up in great condition. Ive also ordered several LEGO sets from Amazon and had great luck, too. In conclusion, I dont think that youll be disappointed in this set. Its not inexpensive (at least at the moment, with the original $180 price), but its under the typical 10 cents/piece price point, and its an awesome set. Highly, highly recommended.

> 3 dayMy son was intrigued by a legitimate Transformer lego set, and as a fan of the Netflix series this was a must-have set. What makes it special is how much the finished Voltron looks like a regular toy, since almost all the tell-tale LEGO studs are covered up with smooth flat pieces. Another bonus is that the assembly sequence allows you to build each lion separately, so my son would build one, play with it, and then Voltronize him (put him in his transformed state) to await the rest of the pieces. It is an expensive set, but well worth it.
