> 3 dayIts a good price for a soon to be discontinued product so its good in that regard and maybe I just got unlucky but the sheer amount of missing pieces Ive dealt with so far is absolutely ridiculous Lego support is non-existent. Im on step 285 out of 13 something hundred and I have had to cherry pick out of bags numerous times already and have finally come to the point where the set is just missing pieces, not to mention the pieces I cherry picked out of bags meant later for the set will be missing when I get there so its a good set if youre ready to order numerous pieces from third part websites but if not its an 800 dollar infuriating nightmare. Also it does appear to be brand new in good Lego brand packaging

> 3 dayI ordered this exact same kit from an advertisement on face book. My grandson received a kit with literally four snap together pieces and a few light wires. He was so disappointed not that his toy was not what he had expected but that I had obviously been scammed. When he received his gift this time he teared up and said there are some people who really want this toy bad and I am fortunate enough to have it. I am so grateful for the ability to make this right for this child. I cant thank you enough.

Greater than one weekA word of warning, the box this thing ships in is massive, it barely fit in my trunk. I opened up the shipping box to find another box, and inside that box was yet another box, and inside that box was four more boxes. Each of the four boxes contained like 15 bags of pieces, the boxes were not packaged by stage, instead i had to sort through all four. I started around 330 on a friday. Im still not done, but coming up on about 18 hours. If you are like me and grew up with legos and love star wars, but only got the sets that your parents could afford to get you but always coveted the big expensive ones, then this is definitely up your alley. Time consuming, fun to build, and incredibly detailed. I had been waiting for this thing to be available for about 8 months, and as soon as i saw it was in stock, i jumped on it. THIS is a true collectors item for both Lego and Star Wars fans. The only dilemma i have right now is where i am going to put it. If you are a parent, and thinking about buying this for your kids, think twice because this is NOT a toy. I have two kids but bought this for myself. It would definitely be a great family build project though. This build has so far been tedious, but an absolute blast and i cant wait for the finished product!

> 3 dayIf your even kind of contemplating getting this just do it! I mean it’s almost a fact not even an opinion that if you’re a Star Wars and Lego fan this is the must have, the end all be all, the great white buffalo. And you know once this thing is discontinued by the manufacturer it’s probably gonna be worth a couple grand so just justify by telling yourself that

> 3 dayI won this hunk of junk in a card game. Fastest ship in the galaxy if you ask me. A little rough around the edges but hey it’s got a working Dejarik board so that’s sweet. Has panels for hiding stuff from Imperial inspections and the seats in the cockpit recline a good amount. Easily meets the advertised 12 parsec jump time. Downsides: she’s real ugly. If your trying to get a date with like a princess or something, she’s probably not going to be too impressed. And there’s this distinctive wet Wookie smell eminating from it. Not sure if it’s something a couple dozen air fresheners can take care of or not.

> 3 daysuch a waste of money but hey, it was the nostalgia that counts haha. i havent owned a lego set in like 15 years. this was such a dope set to build and im happy i burned a hole in my pocket for it. i just wish it had more minifigures. shoutout lego for giving me a valid reason to not respond to my girlfriends texts right away. im talking about hours later lol. now its time to spend an outrageous amount of money on a display case to keep the dust from getting on this beauty.

> 3 dayUpdate: FINALLY built this set and it is an AMAZING build! Some notes about how this is packaged. if you purchase this set pay close attention to the tape that seals the box. One side is red and the other green to note open on the green taped side. This puts the manual at the top of the box so it is easily lifted out. Open the box with that side up to prevent the manual from falling out and possibly damaging pages. One the manual is removed, four boxes are located inside with each containing 1/4 of the Millennium Falcon pictured when the boxes are together. One each box is a quote from STAR WARS about the Falcon. Each of the four boxes contains sets of bags. Surprisingly the bags arent in order by box. There are 17 bags for the set. The Lego 1989 Batmobile has 24 bags with less than half the pieces of the Falcon. There are multiple bags for each number so there could be 4 to 5 bags labeled as bag 1. So MANY more bags than just 17 technically. They at least kept all the same numbered bags in the same box so you will find all of bag 1 in a single box and not some in one box and the remainder in others. You will find like bag 1 in one box but bag 2 in another. There are also some unmarked bags for some of the larger and higher count pieces. The first two bags build the frame. Bags 3-9 build out the internal components of the ship and the outside outline of the ship. The hull of the ship top and underneath is assembled in in sections and independent of the frame so you can set aside the large frame as the hull is assembled and installed in sections until the end of the build. The manual as well as videos on the Lego site show how to carry/relocate the set. Caution should be exercised in carrying it or the integrity of the build can be affected or parts can crumble away. Top hull simply lay on in sections are have one technic piece that fits into another technic piece in the frame. The detail looks amazing. it is a display piece and it not for play as some Lego can be. There are some MOC instructions or Lego stands are available to display this beast on its side but the landing feet typically mist be removed to do so. There are also plexiglass of plastic stands out there are well. it certainly will take up less space displaying on its side but if there is room and in my opinion it looks great in landed position. Its not the biggest Lego in piece count anymore since the Coliseum was released but it does still seem to hold the record for the most expensive set and may also occupy more space than the Coliseum. I have not purchased the USC Star Destroyer but think the Falcon is a much better set because ti does have internal details. The Star Destroyer is $100 less with a much higher price per piece. More than likely the higher per piece is due to the number large pieces involved. Theres way more detail to the Falcon than Star Destroyer so the Falcon has a higher recommendation in my opinion. If you youre an avid Lego fan and dont mind the price, its recommended to pick this up while its still available and at regular pricing (at least directly from Lego) before it retires. Original: I have to admit, it hasnt been built yet. Currently it is saved either as a collectible or the ultimate build when the time is right but the set is amazingly huge. The box is approximately 25-30lbs. up until the Lego Colosseum was released, it was the largest Lego set by piece count. It may still hold the record as the most expensive set released to date and possibly the largest in size/diameter. That may take a little more measuring to ensure thats the case but over 7500 pieces is amazing. It comes in a large square box with three smaller boxes with printed images inside. Surprisingly it has only 19 bags for this many pieces. The Lego 1989 Batmobile has approximately 3300 pieces and has 24 bags. Instructions for handling this beast are given. There are only certain ways to pick it up and move it around so its not designed to be a play set. Some MOC creators design stands to display it on its side for better viewing and to take up less display space. Thats an option if you want to take this set on but have limited space to display. Picked this up at normal pricing as many sellers are now overpricing this set that is still available from Lego and has not retired yet.
