Greater than one weekAmazing detail, fun to build. I purchased this as a present for myself and my kids (ages 6 and 9). Though not really designed for playing with, this set does allow for some fun for the kids. It took about 2 weeks to build, working about 1-2 hours 5-6 out of 7 days of the week. It was fun to build with the kids, though some of the steps are much more difficult for the younger kids to follow (there are almost 1400 steps). It was amazing to see it come together and my kids eyes as it started to truly look like the Falcon. I enjoyed it and will continue to. Just be aware that it does have a hefty price tag. You will have to decide if it is worth the much money for you. It was for us!

> 3 dayPurchased this for Christmas! Our son 11 years old has been asking for it for over 3 years and we figured we should get it now before the retire the design. It’s a lot of money but it’s also a lot of Lego. I’m sure it will not disappoint once Christmas comes around.

19-11-2024Sturdy and very detailed. We got this for our Lego loving son and he spent nearly 2 weeks bringing this creation to fruition. The detail inside that provides support is amazing and the size is huge! A toddler may try to ride it. Was pleasantly surprised. Not that Lego lets you down but this is amazing in scope. The illustrated book hat comes with it just adds to the finished work. This is something you will want to display. Not for young children and it is a bit heavy once completed. Well worth the money. Will update with pictures.

> 3 dayI bought this for my son for Christmas and was very glad I did. He’s a very advanced lego builder for an 11 year-old, but I was thinking I would have to do the lion’s share of work. He ended up putting it together in about 14 hours over three days. I supervised the build for about three of those hours. Make sure you have a large spot identified to build it on and a place to put it afterwards. This thing is quite fragile and you won’t be moving it from place to place often. The instructions are amazing. It’s a full, spiral-bound book with the history of the Falcon and it’s specs along with the directions. What made this really shine was the custom light kit from Bricksmax we bought separately. My son also put this in and seeing it lit up really adds the final touches. This thing is awesome for stop motion videos which my kids love doing. When they’re done we’ll put it in a stand in our bookshelf and may get the Star Destroyer but it won’t be anywhere near as detailed a set as this is.

> 3 dayThe product itself is great. Its a great set however when I received my package it was beat up the box the set comes in had no protection at all they just slapped the sicker on the set and shipped it. This caused the box to be dented and torn in a couple spots and for 840 dollars I wouldve thought they would have tried to protect the product a little bit.

> 3 dayOk, honestly, I havent cracked the seal on the box yet on my set. However, I have several fellow Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL) that have bought and built this set over the years, so Ive seen numerous displays and builds over the years. At over 7500 pieces, it was Legos largest set until the Colosseum dropped last year, and the Art World Map came out this year. The great thing about this iteration of The Falcon is the incredible level of detail and hidden little Easter eggs throughout the set. Another nice feature is the inclusion of not only the classic trilogy characters (in standard Minifigures size), but they included the new trilogys main cast as well! So whichever you prefer, you can have captain the ship and perform various tasks and comedic things in and on the MILLENNIUM FALCON. If you are a SERIOUS AFOL and Star Wars super fan, than this $800 set is a great collectable to add to any home! There are numerous third party display cases & mounts for displaying this massive (I mean MASSIVE!), nearly 30lb set, so be sure to check those out as well! There are even some lighting kits out there, which is suggest picking one up (if you want working lights) BEFORE building, so its easier to add that feature while building, instead of having to tear it apart and rebuild later.

Greater than one weekIt was a fun assembly over several days, and the final result looks great. Tons of greebling. Most of the build techniques were not particularly mind blowing, though there were some interesting techniques used to support its massive size. Overall, an improvement over the previous version. I disliked how the top and bottom surfaces mostly just lay on (or hang from) the frame of the assembly. The arent well tied together, so the rear part of the ship looks unfinished. But ultimately, its too big. The idea of a 7500 piece Lego set sounds amazing, but the sheer size takes away a lot. It took up my whole coffee table hanging over the sides. I couldnt find any kind of shelf or side table to put it on. If you wanted to hang it, or even put it at an angle, youd have to glue it together. I disassembled mine, put it back in its cavernous box and will eventually sell it. If you are a die-hard Star Wars and Lego fan, and are willing to pay the Disney tax, it might be for you. Be prepared to set aside a room in your house. For other Lego fans, there are lots of big 2000-4000 piece sets I would recommend instead. Get two or four of those for the cost of the UCS Falcon.
