I have yet to see an easier way to build a cat5 port. Assembles very nicely with the corresponding Leviton wall plates

Highly recommend! Very easy to install wires you will need a punch down tool. It was very easy to pop into the wall plate for the money it is worth it. I will be back to buy more for all my Internet projects.

I have used Leviton QuickPort Ethernet jacks for some 17 years in our local school district, and have had not a single failure. What more can you ask for?

I have a fancy punch down tool, tester, all that. Could not get these to connect fully I could get 5 or 6 of the 8 to test good. Some fiddling and I could get a couple more, but could not get one to fully connect all 8 points. Maybe its the cable I have, but I doubt it. I think the root cause it the IDC blades are not sharp. If you hit them more than a couple times, they just spread apart and are done. Maybe there is a way to get them to work. I found some modular couplers so plugs front and back and that will work for the 20 or so I need. I have a crimp tool for the plugs and have never had an issue with the IDC on that end.

I was happy with the quality of this product. I used it when running cable through my house and it worked great.

I purchased 7 of these and installed them in every room of our house. They work great. Connection is good, they punched down perfect every time.

Defective. My PC was only getting 10 Mbps speed. Only after I replaced this defective jack, my network speeds reached the expected 200 Mbps.

Ive occasionally installed Ethernet runs for work, myself, family and friends for about 15 years. These are the way to go. The QuickPort plates allow you to mix and match connectors and the connectors themselves are rock solid. They work consistently and hold up well. I recently wired my parents new house with Ethernet drops to each room. I started out using a generic equivalent I could get in quantity locally at Home Depot. Big mistake. I had so much trouble with getting the jacks properly terminated and tested because of the poor quality of the jacks. Some jacks that were working stopped working over time, I guess because of poor tension on the wire connections. I ended up coming back, ripping everything out, and putting in Leviton instead. Lesson learned.

Installed some Cat 5e ports in my house for a DYI install project. Combined with the Keystone face plates, these are pretty easy to use. Youll also want to get an affordable punch down tool. I got the DataShark 70034 110 tool for the job. A quick search of the internet will tell you wether you need to punch down into B or A. B is the common one and worked for me. (search for Cat 5e a or b if you want more details) Easy project that now allows wired ethernet access to various parts of my house.

Used these connectors for years as a professional network installer. When it was time to add some new drops to my house, I was happy to find these on Amazon. Same quality as before. Ive instead hundreds, if not thousands, of RJ45 ports over the years. Cheap ones do work, but Ive seen wires come loose over time. Havent had an issue with Leviton except for the time I was a little too aggressive with the punchdown tool.
