Comparing to my older 27GL850, this monitor is larger and faster; with an easy (one button push) overclocking to 180 Hz. Of course, with increased size pixel density is lower. What remains same is how great picture quality is out of the box - seems to be an LG thing. Before this one, I tried the MSI MAG274QRF-QD (another highly-rated monitor), and its picture quality was quite bad initially, required a lot of calibrating to remove over-sharpening and oversaturation. Aside from minor backlight bleeding, so far there is no complains about the panel: no dead pixels or other obvious defects. Hope it remains this way. Big thanks to Tim from Hardware Unboxed for the review of 27GP850 (27 version).

This is a great monitor I use it for both my PS5 and PC. I think most other reviews cover the PC gaming aspect so I dont need to talk about that. So the PS5 performance with this monitor is great it actually does do 4k @60fps though its actually im assuming down sampling, not true 4k but its just as smooth and sharp as my true 4k tv. Im sure that adds lag but a monitor that runs 1ms response time I dont notice a difference in response time from my PC to ps5 other then the smooth 165fps on my PC. With that being said 4k on the ps5 isnt necessary for gaming soon as Sony said the next update will support 1440p anyway and Im hoping that will include 120hz with that resolution. I think this is a great monitor for the price unless you have the 600.00 or so dollars to spend on a 4k 120hz+ monitor. I mostly play apex legends and battlefields

I purchased this monitor for its high refresh rate but it disappointed. The picture quality and refresh rate was lower than the LG monitor that was rated 75Hz (LG 34WN650-W). comparing the two side by side, the 34WN650 had a much crisper picture and better for watching sports, and therefore gaming.

It is solid 33inch monitor that have no issues. I am not FPS gamer so I am not sure whether the monitor is good for FPS but games such as League, Starcraft, minecraft, etc. were great

This monitor is great, except for the fact it does not shut off after playing games on it for more than 2 hours at a time. The front buttons simply stop working. Its annoying having to unplug this stupid thing to shut it down. UPDATE: There’s a new firmware for this monitor that fixes the issue. After installing the update from LG’s website, everything works as expected.

The IPS glow from the bottom right is about as bad as Ive ever seen from any IPS monitor. There are a few people who posted pics in other reviews and they were spot on, that is what you are going to get dont think you are going to get some one in a million panel. To compliment the glow you are treated with probably the worst gaming monitor available today when it comes to contrast around 1:800. They redesigned the menu and made it look very nice and pretty but also way slower than what you get from the LG monitors from a few years ago, it looks great on the show floor and in YouTube reviews but it sucks for everyday users. Monitors last a long time, I have a few that are over 12 years old now. They are one of the longest lasting components of your entire setup and they are the hardest to sell used. You are stuck with this thing for a long time and I think you can probably do better. If you are set on a 32 1440p monitor there is no real competition the Odyssey G7 is the best. When it comes to 27 you have a few more options and if you like the LG monitors I would just go with the far cheaper 27GL850.

I wanted a high-resolution monitor for general usage. The monitor is advertised for gaming, so maybe thats all it should be used for. Pictures and video seem to be fine, but it lacks detail and is fuzzy when looking at some text, even when set to the highest resolution. It also has a slight shadow effect in the brightness that extends about an inch and a quarter inward from the left and right sides of the screen. I wanted to use it for cad drawings that require a lot of detail which this monitor doesnt provide, so I will be returning it.

The size of this monitor is great for gaming. The picture quality is great and the build quality is great. However, like other reviews have stated, my unit came with fingerprints on the screen. Upon further inspection, Ive counted two small scratches on the screen. No one wants a screen with fingerprints or scratches. It didnt make me feel like I was getting a brand new product. The monitor is too big and heavy to return for these small defects so Im gonna have to keep it. Be aware the monitor may not be brand new.
